Good product & quite economical for filling pillows
Good product & quite economical for filling pillows, cushions, beanbags, etc. For pillows, buckwheat is arguably far more comfortable than memory foam or down/feathers because it's firmer & provides better support as the buckwheat husks can be "moulded" to the right shape, they "hug" your head well. The buckwheat husks also create a pleasing rustling sound, have a subtle but pleasant earthy smell, you can conveniently unzip the pillow & top up the buckwheat husks when required & you can "customise" them to your preferred pillow height/plumpness.

Never buying polystyrene balls
So I recently bought a delightful Indian pouffe on Amazon. It turned out to be just a pouffe cover. Oops. I didn't really have any idea about what to fill it with, except that I dislike the polystyrene balls that are noisy and lose their volume steadily over time. I stumbled on this product, read the reviews, and decided I was ready to take the plunge. I'm glad I did. It turns out these are the ideal product for the purpose. They are easy to handle - I just scooped them out of the bag with a saucepan and straight into the cover. Easy. They have a delightful soft aroma that reminded me of church incense. Now that they are inside the pouffe I can't detect any aroma at all, though I wouldn't mind at all if I could. They make for very comfortable sitting, there are no sharp edges or lumpiness at all (in spite of the photos perhaps giving that impression*), just a lovely, reassuringly firm support that moulds to your body. Much better than polystyrene balls, that escape to the sides of a bean bag and leave you sitting on the floor.*The hulls are actually about the same size as the polystyrene balls.Be aware that a pouffe or beanbag filled with buckwheat hulls is a weightier proposition than one filled with polystyrene. If light weight (for picking up and moving) is of overriding importance you might opt for polystyrene. In every other respect I feel these are superior. In any case, I love the weight, it feels more solid, more antique, more expensive - like my pouffe came from the Conran Shop or an English stately home. And yet the price is very reasonable I think. A pouffe has plenty of volume and I was dreading what I might have to fork out. As it turned out, it swallowed one 10 KG bag of hulls (cost me £15), but after a few days I took some out as it is more comfortable and looks better.I haven't tried it in a pillow, but for the benefit of those reading this review I lay on the floor with my head on the pouffe. I'm sure I will end up trying it in a pillow, and end up loving it. It would be a very different experience to a down or foam pillow though, but certainly no less comfortable, with that reassuring feeling of substance and support. Unlike down, I feel it would support your head all night long. And unlike foam it's not, well, foam.Writing an Amazon review is a rare event for me, but I really believe in this product. Plus I love the fact that it is natural, organic and makes use of what I suppose is a farming by product. Great idea. Recommended.

It is good for meditation cushions but not for pillows for sleeping.
I was looking for a good, organic filling for my sleeping pillows and I choose husk in believe that will be perfect how it is described. It came up to be firm, have ho volume and flat. I think it will be good for the spa, meditation cushions, toys, and other purposes.

Nice husks but came with unnatural fragrance added
the reason for the four stars because the husks came perfumed with some obscure fragrance. I would have preferred it to be completely natural as I was adding dried lavender to make pillows.

Perfect Pillow
Just love the husks as being able to place the pillow in any shape (under face or neck) gives the perfect night's sleep. Would highly recommend this form of filling.

I just love them and have saved absolutely scads of money
I am full of praise for this product! I made three cushions - a massive dense huggy one, a bolster-shaped one for neck or lumbar spine, and a small and less densely-packed one for sitting kneeling, all for my yoga practise. I just love them and have saved absolutely scads of money. Oh, I forgot to mention - I still have about 2kg left. This stuff just goes on forever!!!

good quality, great service
Great hulls. still at the top of the bag (11 Kgs is a lot :) ) and there hulls are good not any powder/crushed hulls etc.Comes in a large strong bag with extra wrapping for protection in transit.Service from Perfect Pillows has been great. Personal (not automated emails) checking i had received and everything was fine. Also asked what I was planning on doing and if I needed any assistance with other items cases etc. Which while i did not need cases etc at the moment, will probably come back to when I cant work the borrowed sewing machine properly!
