Really neat, once you get the hang of it
When I opened the package, I thought immediately that there was no way this little chopper was going to work out. It was too small, the controls were too utilitarian looking. It would surely break the first time I used it. I had all of these thoughts on first glance.I put some batteries into the controller and charged the copter and the first few flights left me thinking this thing was impossible to use. Hovering was beyond me. The power control was too sensitive, the forward/back/rotate control wasn't sensitive enough. Rocketing to the ceiling or crashing to the floor were my signature moves, until I got the hang of it. I realized quickly how sturdy this tiny lightweight thing really was, because I crashed it constantly. But after a while something changed as I practiced. I got the hang of constantly trimming the power to remain at a chosen altitude with a minimum of yoyo-ing up and down. It got controllable, I was flying it around the room while I watched television, landing it where I wanted and avoiding the omnipresent menace of my cats. Where does that leave me on this? It's a great, fun little contraption that packs into a tiny package and I love playing with it.My recommendation, based on my experience, to get the hang of flying this guy:1. The power control is very sensitive, and you need to constantly trim it to maintain your desired altitude2. On takeoff it tends to drift forward until power is applied enough for it to rise, so don't take off too slowly3. The joystick inputs work but the controls engaged on the copter have much less authority than the power, so they feel wildly less sensitive than the power control4. Start by trying to just lift off and maintain a hover, then when that's smooth (after bouncing it off the ceiling and floor a fair bit in my case) start rotating in place and flying around5. Watch out for house cats!:)

Garbage
Didn't work straight out of the package with fresh batteries the remote and the heli wouldnt turn on or charge. It was a pretty big disappointment to my son being a stocking stuffer. Will never buy from this company again. Wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time or money horrible value. No age range, not durable, not fun, and no battery life.

Not for young kids
I have a ton of experience with drones/quadcopters, rc cars, etc and this one is definitely not for young kids. It does not have altitude hold like most quadcopters have, and I think young kids would have trouble adjusting the throttle at the same time as using the other control stick to steer.I trimmed the helicopter out and when it should be flying stagnant in one spot, it flies in a continuous circle while facing forward (this was indoors without any fans interfering. It's still fun for the price but be careful flying around anything expensive, as this can easily get away from you if you do not have much experience.

Very hard to fly
This is adorable, but it's so hard to fly. I had to get a replacement because the other one took off, even after letting the control off

My dog thinks this mini helicopter is a fun toy, too. Explained at end of review.
This compact mini helicopter is really fun to use. The remote is small but didn't pose an issue for my 13 year old son. The thumb grips help. He had quite a few crashes before he learned how to control it. It still works and nothing broke. I was a little concerned as it doesn't feel very sturdy. It's way more fun to use in rooms with high ceilings. Less crashing. I like that the controller stores the helicopter when not in use. It takes between 25 and 30 minutes to fully charge. It only runs for 5 minutes before needing to be recharged which I knew from advertising. It took a few charges before my son became proficient enough at controlling it to really enjoy it in the limited use time. He's a patient kid which I think helps when the copter needs to be recharged. I'd recommend for ages 10 and up.Side note for dog owners: My German Shepherd thinks this is a new toy for her to catch. She stalks it and jumps to try and get it. She barks at it, too. So far we've managed to keep it out of her reach. It's a lot easier now that my son can control it better and isn't crashing every 10 seconds. Having high ceilings also helps.

Tiny Toy, Will Take Some Practice, Will Fly!
This micro helicopter is just that: tiny. It is well balanced and built sturdy. There is enough motor to get the helicopter flying and enjoy it. The controller is very small, but a couple of thumb knobs are added to help with control. The instructions are English inside the flyer that came with the helicopter. We have flown the helicopter but not far and not for long. It is sure fun to practice though. The controller requires 4 AA batteries (not included). The helicopter has a rechargeable battery that recharges off the controller (takes about 25 minutes to charge and each charge will last about 6 minutes). I don't know if that will significantly reduce the battery life in the controller, but 6 minutes of play is not very long. Overall, this is a fun toy that is going to take a while to learn how to fly. So far, no crash we have caused has damaged the helicopter. Good toy for older kids and adults.
