EZ Detect Colon Disease Test

Very easy to use. I hoe it is accurate but I think it is.

This is a well-respected fecal occult blood test with unambiguous results that is much easier to use than most.Has five test pads (paper squares). First one is dropped into clean bowl to verify nothing in water causes false positive. Another is dropped in after each of next three deposits -- color change within two minutes indicates positive result which should be reported to your physician.Final one is dropped in empty bowl after adding powder that induces positive results. If results of that test are negative, the pads are presumed defective and the tests are invalid.So, three samples over a period of several days are tested. Nothing needs to be sent to a lab and no awkward sample collection with little wooden sticks.Product from Mediply Diagnostics was received reasonably promptly from UK, factory sealed, but expired in 1 month. Priced accordingly, but short date and overseas location should have been disclosed.

I have used several times and has always been negative. The first I used them years ago I was pretty sure something was wrong so I bought one and it was positive so I check a few time a year to be sure. If you’re older you should definitely be buying this product. It’s reasonably priced.

The color the control piece changed to was neither blue-green nor orange - the 2 colors described in the accompanying literature - but a sick yellow. Not knowing what that color meant made the test fairly useless.

An affordable alternative to Colo guard? Probably not. However, it's inexpensive, private and fairly simple to use. At least it gives you a fair gauge but not a definitive one as whether there might be a serious problem. You can typically expect with such tests 10 % inaccuracy or a false negative or false positive. Just in case. still you can always see your own doctor afterwards. Look at it this way. At least it's better than sitting back and doing nothing at all. Think about it ? Most men especially those who are considered at AVERAGE risk never even get tested. It's well worth the small price for the possible early warning which could easily save your life.

Easy to use

If you ever had to use one of those stool sampling kits that involved wodden spoons, placing a tissue in the toilet, collecting stool , and then smearing it on the report page which you then had to send to a lab somewhere, you'll especially appreciate this test kit. With this kit, you drop a small piece of paper into the toilet with the stool. if it turns blue, it's a positive indicating blood is preset. If it doesn't you flush it down the toilet. They suggest doing it three times.

This is great for the "worried well" person. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy, but wanted an advance warning if there was a problem. I bought two boxes and all tests were negative. So was the colonoscopy. It was easy to use and I felt it was worth the money. If you are too afraid to have a colonoscopy this would be great to check yourself and then be alerted to any problems.
