My dear daughter loves looking at this during tummy time aaaaand it's convenient because you can put/hang it anywhere. Definitely travel friendly or if you have a set up in living room, easy to bring with you from bedroom.

The colors are stimulating

This is exactly the kind of little book that is perfect for my ten month old granddaughter. She will sit quietly for up to twenty minutes exploring it. She obviously loves the feel of it, the fact she can open and close it, and look at the pictures as well as herself in the mirror. Strangely, it is the ribbons that are the most fascinating to her, and she will just sit rubbing them between her fingers, though obviously they are also super-useful for tying the book in a convenient place for baby!Apparently black and white patterns and clear shapes register the most strongly on a baby's retina, so this is ideal.It's very well stitched, strong, and washable.

This is perhaps an ideal first book for a baby who is just opening their eyes properly and looking around for the first time. They tend to be attracted by light and the contrast in the book really does grab the attention of my 6-week-old grandson, as does the mirror. It’s soft and lightweight, hence easy to take with you if leaving the home. Good to chew too!It seems well-made and unlikely to tear. The ties make it easy to attach to a pram or whatever. It’s reasonably priced too, and would make an excellent gift. I just wish it came from a western brand, so that I could be more confident about the quality of the materials used (and I prefer not to put money into the Chinese economy).
