it has all the necessary attributes a square should have
The item was delivered in the stated time frame and was well packaged However, it was purchased in readiness for when I have fitted out my new workshop so it hasn't been used yet (hence the four stars). It is sturdily made and should last a lifetime.

Good value
Others have complained about the quality of this item- for me it is very good for the price. 2 minutes with fine grit paper and the edges are fine. It is accurate, and much better than the old one it is replacing. One problem was the nut securing the angle gauge- the small spring was preventing full tightening. Cutting a few coils off fixed that.If I was a professional or using it every day I might cough up more for an all steel version. For me, this does all that I need.

Useful tool - for the price.
Classic type of combination set, useful for marking out, finding centres, measuring angles, depths etc. however it's not a precision tool, you will have to spend a lot more for something like a Moore & Wright if you want fine tolerences. It has a major flaw in that the slide clamping pins of each part are not captive, and easily fall out to disappear forever when you slide the 'attachment' off, as you have to do frequently. That wouldn't be so bad if it came in a nice box to contain everything, but it doesn't - just a blister pack. The accuracy is no more than fair, but then I always turn the tool over and check again.

Cheap Price - Reasonable Quality
This definitely falls into the 'cost effective, fit for purpose,' category. Decent enough for the home garage but probably a bit too lightweight for commercial use. Fine for me as I'll treat it with respect in my own workshop at home but that's about it.Accuracy is fine. I doubt if it would meet ISO standards for engineering use but good enough for general purpose. I checked the angles against a decent set of engineers squares I have and they were accurate to eyesight standards.Center finder works well. That's not to say that every one of these made will because I get the feeling that the QA/QC is not a priority and chances are that not every one made will be as accurate or not as the next one. Certainly from the other reviews I've read some say the center finder isn't accurate and some say it is. Mine matches up fine.Overall if I was to be absolutely honest if I was to buy again I'd double the budget and get something a bit more 'pro.'

good Combination Square. Accurate and cheap.
For the price you can't complain. if you want to do normal level woodwork etc this is perfect. If you're looking for accuracy within thousands of a mm perhaps fork out a bit more money. I've found mine to be pretty accurate, Mitres match nice and circles are centered. Perhaps in an engineering environment it would be out but if your in that environment you shouldn't be buying these at this price level.
