I bought this to replace a Roku remote that didn’t have voice. As expected it is just what I was looking for. It’s a great bang for your bucket. It connects easily. The buttons respond. Well I’ve never had a problem with them lasting functions well and is easy to program. I think that checks all the boxes. Good luck.

I purchased this second Roku remote as a spare. Operates exactly like the original. Very easy to mate with your current setup. Just insert AAs, turn on and point to the tv and your done. Very smart move to have a spare on hand in case the original remote quits. With this spare you avoid a no Roku service tonight situation.

I originally bought one of these because I moved into a new neighborhood did not have cable, So I had to get my TV via Fiber internet and the cable company said I had to get this Hulu stick. If you have a Hulu TV you don't need to buy this. I found it SO easy to use, you just plug into the USB on your TV and follow the directions on your screen and you have TV! I was able to download the app for my cable company. Plus there are a few others apps that they already have installed on the stick. You can download practically any app that you would on your phone including Netflix, Pandora, YouTube etc..I had two other TV"s in my house and I bought the sticks for those also. The remote has voice control also. I am very pleased with the ease of the set up and the performance of the Roku stick.

This was a Christmas gift for our son who has a Roku tv, but wanted a remote he could speak to. He said it's perfect quality, and gave it 5 stars for that very function. It was a Black Friday deal, so well worth the money. It says it works on all Roku tvs, which proved to be correct. The buttons are the same as the other remotes. This one just has the speak to it ability. It was simple to switch remotes and connect to the tv.

The bad: terrible design. Get random buttons (4) for streaming channels and can’t reprogram them. It’s not wyswyg. You won’t know what buttons you get until the remote arrives. 2 of them on the most recent remote are basically useless in this household. Seriously, 1 button was the Roku channel. Roku does not know best. Not only is this possibly the least watched option of streaming services, it’s not even a major streaming service. Disney and Hulu may become one soon. But for now Amazon, Netflix, HBO Max (Max) are all separate and distinct. And I don’t see Apple merging with anyone given that’s how Apple has been run since the 80s. The quality an of the remote is nothing special. Nothing to write home about.

Compared to my previous remote, this one has several advantages. It is lighter, has a mute button, and has a Roku channel button. It does not have several buttons that I never used anyway: Hulu, Sling and ESPN. If you need those then it might not work for you. Also, it does not have earphone capability. I stopped using that as it seemed to use up battery power faster. In short, it does the job, and with a few advantages.

This remote works just like genuine Roku voice remote . It will work with a Roku Tv, as well as with a Roku top box unit. It's definitely worth it without the higher price tag.

5 stars so far. Set up could not be easier! All I had to do was turn on my roku TV. The green flashing light on the remote indicated it was searching for the TV. Once it found the TV, the light went out and it was all set up. I didn't have to do a thing! I tested the voice control feature and it worked like a charm. No further set up. No voice recognition hoops to jump through. Worked the first st time. This feature alone is worth the $20 price. The instructions say you can turn/off captions. I haven't tried it yet but if that works, that'll make this remote even more of an excellent bargain. Adjusting the captions on the TV is a hassle, especially if you're already in the program and have to back out of it and go back to the settings on the TV to change it. The only thing I changed were the no-name batteries that came with it. I installed new Evereadys so I know they'll last longer Highly recommend this bad boy. If anything changes I'll let you know
