Back of receiver Inputs/outputs... Why is a picture of the most important thing missing? Using the back of reiceiver as a quick look is important.

Thanks for your question. Recommend the manufacturers website be accessed for complete products pictures, features, and specifications. World Wide Stereo – since 1979 – and a proud authorized Sony dealer.

Whats the benefit of 8k versus just 4k?

On most receivers “8K” supports 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz and below. “4K” supports 4K/60Hz and below. Many gamers want 4K/120Hz for faster frame rates, but will need a compatible TV and an ultra high speed hdmi cable to take advantage of this.

Does this unit turn on automatically when the tv is turned on, or do i have to turn it on separately each time i watch tv?

I have a Sony TV which will turn it on, but that's been a Sony specific feature for years). I believe the dedicated HDMI port you connect a TV to supports this for most brands of smart TV.

Does this unit support ALLM and VRR?

Yes, it does. The HDMI IN GAME (for AUDIO) jack, HDMI IN MEDIA BOX jack, HDMI OUT A (TV) jack, and OUT B/ZONE 2 jack support transmission of video signals up to 4K/120p and 8K, compressed video, VRR, and ALLM signals.
