Excellent Product
My toilet had been blocked for 2 weeks which really isn't good! I had tried everything normal plungers, hoses, one shot drain cleaner you name it i had tried it, then I came across this. This was my last hope before having to call a plumber. After a few tries it wouldn't work for me but I persevered and then whoosh my toilet was unblocked!! the product could do with some directions on how to use it but i used it like a normal plunger and it did the what I wanted. It is worth paying out the money for this product I just wish I had tried it sooner but i'm glad I have it now. If you need your toilet unblocking then this is the product for you!!

Needs strength behind it, but works well
My dad was a plumber and told me before I bought this that there were better ways to unclog a toilet, but since then he's borrowed it multiple times and has been surprised how useful it's been as a good thing to first try before other plunging techniques. We've found it great when we've needed it. We've had it a few years and keep it outside on out roof - in direct sun most of the day - and it's still as robust as before. We'd absolutely buy another if it needed replacing though as when it's been needed it's been great. My only complaints are mostly the nature of a plunger rather than this one in particular. They are: - It can be very splashy when used (be prepared to put your clothes in the laundry). - It needs quite a lot of force and energy behind it to work. My partner is stronger than me and can get it working MUCH quicker than I can. I suspect people without much strength or who struggle with exertion might find it tricky to get it working. - It is tricky to clean out: it is entirely hollow and sucks everything up inside before expelling, yet the internal ridges hold onto the water and debris so once you're done you need to move it around to check everything has drained out of it and then be careful when swilling out with clean water as the bendiness of it makes it tricky and liable to tip the water out. Unblocking a toilet is always going to be messy though, so overall this is great and much much easier than without it.

At last!
This is the best plunger i have ever bought. I was in my third year of university with a toilet which would constantly block. I tried in vain to unblock it with other, clearly far inferior, toilet plungers but none did the trick. I came to Amazon in search for a toilet plunger which would solve all of my problems and I found this, the Monument Toilet Plunger. This discovery was monumental. When i first opened my package and screwed the plunger together my housemate laughed at me and my new plunger. It would never work he said, who would ever have a plunger shaped like a butt plug. I held my new plunger aloft and ran to the bathroom to the site of the offending toilet and flushed to fill the bowl with water. Thrust the plunger into the bowl and gave it a firm pump. It cleared first time, who was laughing now. From that day on whenever that toilet blocked my housemate and i went to the bathroom armed with our invincible toilet plunger. This is by far the best plunger i have ever bought and i wish i still had it. Unfortunately i forgot to bring it home with me after my last year of university and i have missed it ever since. But if my toilet ever blocks again i know where to turn, to the best plunger i have ever had.

Saved me in my hour of need!
I bought this device a while ago after a blockage in the bog which stubbornly refused to shift, but which I eventually managed to defeat after about a 2 hour battle, using a normal plunger. I decided that the next time the Karsey blocked, I wanted a decent tool for the job, and at the weekend, I found out just how useful this marvel actually is! On Saturday night I consumed a large amount of alcohol, followed by a dodgy looking kebab which was smothered in Chili sauce. Although I expected to be 'loose' on Sunday morning, I never expected the sheer severity of the avalanche which left my rear end - It can only be described as horrific. Anyway, as a result of this, I used copious amounts of loo roll, and blocked the bog almost immediately. This sent me into a blind panic since I had pains in my guts and was on the point of passing out, with an irresistible force threatening to explode all over the bathroom. I suddenly remembered the Monument MONMP1600 MP1600 Toilet Plunger, and opened the cupboard where this unexpectedly large bog-unblocker was stored. To my utter relief, this marvellous invention got rid of the troublesome blockage INSTANTLY, allowing me to release the burning demon within me safely and cleanly (save for a few splashes which were easily removed with the bog-brush.) If you are thinking of buying this marvellous implement, then think no longer and purchase this lifesaver! Highly recommended, particularly for those of you who regularly suffer from the 'Wild-ees'

I have the Power!
While I hesitate to write a review of something as inane as a toilet plunger, I must say this beast absolutely blew my mind. We had been struggling with a blocked toilet for days (thankfully I'm on good terms with the local pub landlord), and our old school plunger just couldn't seem to make a dent. I went on here trying to find a new solution as I'm too stingy to get a plumber in, and this odd looking contraption caught my eye. Well, thank the metaphorical Lord it did, because it's just about the most powerful piece of plastic I've come across. I shoved it in, pumped it twice, and immediately the blockage was gone. Never in my wildest dreams had I thought it would be that effective - it actually made me wish my toilet would block up more often, just so I could bring this bad boy out to party! With that said, the one negative aspect of this plunger is that it's absolutely disgusting to clean it. The way it's designed means that it will pull dirty water up inside of it and, dear friends, that includes poop and toilet paper. Not ideal. My suggestion is that you flush through a couple of times, then pour some bleach or other cleaning product into the toilet and plunge a few more times to rinse it out.

A good tool
This works well, moving a large volume of water both in suction and blowing. I would have given it 5 stars if there was a way to seal it sealed into the pan round the outside as some if the plunger action is wasted. However it did clear my toilet! I had to send the first one back as it came without a handle, but Amazon replaced it immediately.

Not so little marvel works wonders
Bought this to sort out a partially blocked loo. It's not small, (about 2 ft long) and looks industrial strength and build. There's no instructions, but it's obviously a bellows that forces water through the waste pipe by repeatedly pumping the handle. I was surprised and delighted when it cleared the blocked loo after a few pumps. As someone else wrote, there needs to be water around it to pump, so its best to flush and pump rapidly at the same time, having pushed the nozzle in as far as possible. Obviously if there's already water in the loo trough a blockage, then just push in the nozzle and pump. I'm really impressed with this device, has saved an expensive plumbers bill!

Brilliant, worked a treat
This is brilliant, it works - quickly - when various other Google tips didn’t work at all. Highly recommended if you have a blocked toilet that won’t shift.
