Masters of the Universe: Masterverse Volume 1

better than expected…
I’d read prior reviews and dove into this expecting much worse. This was a great multiverse saga that was most enjoyable. Different ‘he-mans’ across an individual saga of each. My favorite by far was Sergio Aragones’ take on the story. Most like the original mini comics with a touch of Groo flare. If you enjoy random short stories and Masters of The Universe as a theme for some, then you will enjoy this book. Maybe even more than I had!

Completely lacking in direction and necessity…
Imagine gathering up a group of people that have very little understanding of He-man and the Masters of the Universe. Place them all into a room together. Ask them to each write out a brief story about what they think He-man is/does. Have them then draw all of the artwork themselves. Bind up all of those individual stories into one book. And, then try to sell it as an actual He-man story. That is what reading this book feels like. This book is simply terrible and writers than pen this kind of dribble should be ashamed of their own laziness. Zero stars.

The masterverse comic the in
It's a Anthology in different ways and styles. Some of the stories tie into the masterverse toyline. Overall it's nothing special but still entertaining and might be worth a read if your a fan of the series.

What the f?!
This is the first comic I couldn't even figure out what's going on (not my English problem) and it's hard to read because the art style changes many times in a single issue. The art style changing worked very well in He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse, but this time is completely overdoing. If I could buy each single episode (somehow I couldn't buy) and knew this already, I wouldn't purchase it.The most of the story is just a short conversation between the sorceress and Zodac then jumps to another universe, and unlike Seeley's previous MOTU comic (He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse), I wasn't drawn to it. Not even funny.I've read almost all MOTU comics can be purchased on Kindle and most of them are enjoyable at least, but this time I really regret buying this comic with $18 in this inflated prices' situation. The story is messy, the art is also messy (if sometimes you feel comfortable, this will be ended soon by the vicious art style changing). At least the cover art is beautiful, the artists worked nicely, but that's all the pros of this comic...And sorry for posting a review with broken sentences. I was literally shocked because I had been waiting for half a year.

Interesting read
This is an interesting decent read. Some of the concepts are good but the stories are too short and the constant changing of artwork is jarring.

It is a NO
Sorry to write this but this volume is not worthy. The multiple stories are a mess, not a clear line to follow, you can barely understand what is happening because is all too quick. Hope the next volume "Forge of destiny" would be better as the previous volumes, which were very enjoyable. Only positive notes the artworks.

The trail of He-men
I enjoyed this book. I will admit I am a pretty biased He-man fan. It was the first cartoon I remember watching on TV in my youth. I enjoyed the short story style of the book. The book take a journey peering into different incarnations of Prince Adam/He-man to assess the worthiness of the great power bestowed on them. Not just they deeds but can they battle the corruption of power corrupting. Not all the arts types are my favourite, but I do respect that they used the same art style that was used in that version of the He-man cartoon or comic strip. As I am a much older He-man fan, I remember the little moral at the end of the episodes, I know these are not popular these days, but I still like them. The book ends with a varient cover gallery and a sketchbook.
