Sturdy lil Rods
i bought these for 3d printing projects and they are exactly as discribed. Though i ended up getting the same effect from a straightened paper clip, but these are definitely straighter.

The ends required filing
I bought these in 5mm x 100mm size with intention to use them with 685 ball bearings (5mm ID). These worked OK; it's just a rod after all. However, whatever they did in the factory to cut them into 100mm lengths, deformed about 1-2mm at the end of the rods. This makes it near impossible to e.g. use them out of the box with ball bearings with 5mm ID such as 685. I had to spend a good amount of time filing the ends by hand in order for them to fit. Once the 1 to 2mm on the ends are filed, the bearings slide over the rods perfectly. I wish this was done at the factory.Keep that in mind if intended use is to use them as axle and/or if they need to be inserted into anything else with matching inner diameter. For comparison, I can do better cuts that don't deform the ends of the material with my home tools (e.g. reciprocating saw).

Ends are not extremely precise...
The shaft diameter is as described... mostly... It seems that the two ends of the rod are squished slightly out of shape by the cutting process. This randomly means some of the rods are very difficult (or occasionally impossible) to fit in/out of a hole that is exactly 5mm.

Good deal if you own a lathe; useless if you don't
"Cheap," "China," "Chump," and "Chamfered" all start with "Ch." Guess which doesn't apply here? As every other reviewer has noted, the midsections of these are okay, but the ends are mangled wrecks. It appears that Uxcell sections its rods the same way kids twist and break paper clips. There is ZERO chance that your bearing, gear, or wheel will fit on these without modification. They're still a good deal if you can trim off the ends and chamfer the cuts, but if you need the full length, look elsewhere. They DO appear to be made of stainless steel of some grade, unusual for "stainless steel" products from this origin. At least they're the approximate density of steel, and they're weakly (not strongly) magnetic.

Fine except the ends
I'm using these rods to hold some 6mm bearings. They're fine little stainless rods, but the rods are sheared to length so there is some deformation at the ends. The rods wouldn't fit into the bearings as received because of this. I beveled the ends a little with a belt grinder and they work fine. If you need the entire length to be 6mm, you're out of luck. If the ends didn't need grinding, they'd be 5 stars.

Sturdy, great for crafting!
I had no clue where insect artists got their wire for displays…I decided to order these, they are absolutely perfect for what I needed them for!

Unfortunately, the ends are mangled, and not cleanly cut.
Was hoping for clean cut round ends, but it looks like they were cut with a shearing tool, not a sawblade.

Durable & precise
I have good luck with uxcell products! Good tools and always received quickly. They hold up to craft & handyman use and are accurate within reason for somewhat precise work. I never hesitate when I see it’s uxcell!
