The is an invaluable collection of songs from the legend that is Phyllis Hyman.There are songs om here that you just don't find on other compilations like guest vocalist performances on Norman Harris and McCoy Tyner productions and 'Magic Mona':.....A film tune.You just have to get this.Fantastic.

Great collection from a largely unsung heroine of soul!
Phyliss never got the record sales her talent deserved but she got massive recognition from colleagues in the music business.And from descerning music fans, of course!Have a listen and you will probably be surprised how many of these songs you do actually know! Many are post disco era but with glances back to that period.The production and arrangements are top class and Phyllis 's unique voice does full justice to them all!This is a comprehensive collection from her time at Buddah records and includes what are probably her best known singles - ‘Somewhere In My Lifetime’ and ‘Betcha By Golly Wow’An excellent anthology and deserving of a place in any soul music fan's collection!

Diese Doppel CD als zusätzliche Ergänzung zu Phyllis Hyman Old Friend The Deluxe Collection hat schon was. Ich stimme den bisherigen Rezensionen zu, dass Phyllis Hyman eine außergewönliche Stimme hatte und eigentlich in das oberste Regal von W. Houston und B. Streisand gehört hätte, aber dies blieb ihr leider verwehrt. Ich kannte sie vorher nicht, bin aber sehr froh, dass sie jetzt in meiner Sammlung vertreten ist. Wer diese Musik mag, sollte zulangen. Klare Kaufempfehlung von mir.
