Bought this lamp on special promotion from Amazon and consider it to be great value.The lamp was delivered for self assembly but was very quick and simple to put together. Less than five minutes with only a screwdriver required.The base is quite heavy and the assembled unit is very sturdy.The only disappointing thing about it is that it gives a cold white light, would have been so much nicer if the light was a bit warmer and would have suited better for use in a living room

Brillliant for reading and jigsaws

Was quite easy to put together with instructions included. Gives a perfect light for working/reading etc as is about chair height (when pulled down using the flexible arm) with an over the shoulder light, so no shadows. Purchased for my elderly mother to read without having to stand near a window to see properly

This was purchased for an elderly friend. She is finding it excellent - she has limited vision, and the light levels are very good, while the lamp position can be adjusted easily and its easy to switch on. A very good choice if you are looking for a simple light solution for an older user. I also found it extremely easy to put together - took about ten minutes!

Happy with the performance However a dimmer on the lamp would be more beneficial
