Does what it says. Works well at getting the scabs off.

This product is proving extremely effective so far. We have a pony who has suffered for years with mud fever, last Winter he was lame for several days due to the mud fever even though we had kept his legs mud free! The wet / damp conditions appear to trigger the mud fever rather than the mud so we have to be careful all year round. We found that little white scabs on the back of his legs / heels appear first with slight swelling and if we washed his legs in a shampoo that contained Neem and then dried them thoroughly, the next day the scabs would be gone and his legs nice and slender. However in the wet and muddy conditions in the Winter it is not ideal to wash his legs too often, therefore we purchased Mud Bug Buster as it contained the Neem which seems to be the magic ingredient. This product has a pleasant smell and is very easy to apply before turnout or any ridden work. We can rub the ointment into his legs and it loosens those little white scabs that are the starting point of the mud fever and he is also protected against the moisture / mud. We have tried various products over the years and this is probably the best one we have come across. Fingers crossed it continues to keep the mud fever away.
