Superb Traditional Wax Polish
Discovered this about twenty years ago and have never used anything else for wood. Wood needs extra care in centrally heated homes so regular use of a quality wax polish is essential. This definitely does the job. The shine of the final polish is dependent on the finish on the wood. If it has been French Polished, this will bring out an incredible shine with a little bit of work. The same applies to traditional English finishes but also modern varnishes. You won't get the full benefit of a wax polish on varnish because it will not feed the wood underneath, (there are cheaper alternatives if you are polishing modern varnished wood).

Good stuff.
I love the smell and really miss it from my old job as a cabinetmaker. Thise days were the best. This wax covered well, and gave a nice sheen that only a wax can give.It was nice and dark, actually a lot darker than was on the tin, but that was a relief because when the tin came I looked at the sample on the sticker and it looked too light, so in the end it all worked out as expected. There was however a hole in the dead center of the lid which looked like it was done with a hole punch or something, so I've covered it with a sticker to stop the wax drying out over time.

Almost a 5 star
This bench is ideal for light wood work. I got it to put into my hobby room for model building and it is ideal for that. Easy to put together instruction good but could do with some larger illustrations. The draws are deeper than I expected and nicely lined. The bench is very sturdy without being overly large. The only downs we're one piece had a break on it but it was easy to fix and not a major problem and the wooden pegs a way to small . Other than those 2 small things it is great.

Really impressed
Really impressed with how easily this goes on, and the finish is wonderful. Used over french polish on some unfinished chess pieces, and it has come up a great - close to antique boxwood

good result
Bought this make as recommended by Robert Thompson's craftsmen Ltd. I bought the 'neutral' rather than the 'clear' as reviews indicated the former has no colour whereas 'clear' has a slightly yellow finish. The neutral did not add any colour, can't say about 'clear' as not tried. The tin has a small hole stamped through the lid, it's not damage, allows pressure to equalise when closing. There is a scent to the polish, I like it, it is very faint, not noticeable on the two small items I polished unless you put your nose close. My aim was to renovate wood that had worn varnish and some water marks and splashes. The polish did not remove all signs of the marks (think you'd have to sand the wood down to do it totally) but it did bring out the colour and grain marking of the wood so many marks disappeared and it much reduced what could be seen of remaining marks. It greatly enhanced the wood, slightly darkening it, and gave a slight shine after being absorbed and polished. It wasn't necessary to apply much, a small smear gives good coverage. The seller (Rolfes ironmongers) dispatched it within a day of the order by Royal Mail, quicker than the other items in the order from Amazon. It arrived a day later than indicated, think this was a Royal Mail issue as their tracker showed an apology, but still quick delivery. Am happy with the results, it looks a small amount but so little is needed that it should last for a good while. There is a colour chart on the makers (Liberon) website but it would be helpful if there was a bit more information about the difference between 'neutral' and 'clear because the pictures aren't much help.

Good polish for French polishing special furniture

Ok but not the best wax
I ordered this wax as I'd used the Liberon top coat on a piece of furniture and the instructions recommended the black bison wax to use after . Its not a patch on the Bri wax I usually use. Ok but doesnt buff up as well as other waxes I've tried.

Expensive but excellent!
This is absolutely wonderful Furniture wax. And it smells wonderful and makes the room smell wonderful too while you're working on the piece of furniture. I had an antique bed that I wanted to wax, and I waxed all the pieces of it front and back and the posts, and the one little can of wax was exactly the right amount. I used a horse hair brush that looked like an old timey shaving brush to apply the wax into all the crevices and so forth of the, and then I used a flat horse hair brush, like the ones that shoe shine boys use, to buff it in, and then after that I used microfiber cloths to finish the job. Microfiber cloth s are good for this because they're soft but very mildly abrasive and any tackiness that might be left after buffing with the horse hair buffer is removed with the microfiber cloth, and it looks great. I am very satisfied with this purchase

Extra !
Excellente cire pour les meubles en pin anglais, un peu chère, certes, mais leur donne un bel aspect.Son odeur est agréable, son rendu est satiné et confère une jolie couleur miel à vos meubles.Je recommande !
