Perfect!
Works great! I have a 4 1/2-month-old pup and the bells work great for when she wants to go outside. 👍

Bells fall off
Great idea, but not the greatest quality. Training was easy. Bells started falling off after a few days. The clips that hold them on are off poor quality and weak. An easy fix would be to buy the round binder clips from Walmart.

The puppy definitely rings the bell!!!!
When it arrived I put it in the ground by the door and he grabbed it and ran with it like it was a ball!!! I tried going through the motions of when he was at the door I say ring the bell and take his paw and then say okay, let’s go!!! And he’d run back later and grab it and ran around with it. Still does so the bell definitely rings…a lot. I should have prefaced this review and said my poodle puppy is a lunatic! He does ring the bells at the door when he scratches to go out though but it’s okay if I’m in ear shot and we have two sliders and a porch door that he randomly chooses to go to so…..I’m ordering more of the jingle bells and we’ll try the bell when he’s a little older. If I take the bell away from him and out it up on the table or something he cries for it! I just need him to be better at associating it with going out and not playing…. The one thing I did with the jingle bells was I modified them so they hung lower because he’s small and I didn’t think he’d reach up to ring them but when he gets bigger it won’t be an issue. And they are usually enough for us to hear him and knows he’s at the door. So I only took one star away for the potty training part of the review because he’s a mental case right now and not the products fault. I’m sure it will work great for most puppies because my sister has the same set and her dog figured it out almost immediate!

BELLS KEEP COMING OFF.
After hanging for only 3 weeks the bells began coming off. They are attached with a metal hoop that closes after going thru bells and thru a loop on the ribbon. The metal hoop is not broken, rather it keeps unhooking. The "latch" of the hoop won't stay closed. It needs a drop of glue to keep it together. Bells are pretty loud. The loop to hook it over the doorknob is too large to secure the ribbon. An aggressive jingle of the bells pulls it right off the doorknob. I twisted it so that the loop created was smaller and then snapped it together. The stand alone bell isn't loud enough for me but it's strong and clear. It sounds like the bell you hit at about any business counter to get someone to come help.

works
It was at first something my fur baby was afraid of. the noise would scare him, and he did not want to touch it. He still refuses to touch the bell. But after three months of continuous daily training and treating, my kid has gotten the hang of it. He uses the dangling bells. Unfortunately for me, he has over-learned it. SO he doesn't just ring it when he wants to potty. He rings it when he wants to go outside to play or yell at squirrels and deers. sometimes he just wants the door opened so he can take in the breeze. He will keep ringing until the door gets opened. Yet for some reason he still refuses to use the floor bell. In either case, this has been extremely helpful in potty training my now nine-month-old fur baby.
