Ardell Beauty Stroke a Brow Feathering Pen, Medium Brown

** Another update** I am back a third time to again proclaim my LOVE for this product. I will cry the day Ardell discontinues this brown pen! So I am stocking up, with 3 backups available at all times lol. This will literally give you the fluffy brows of your dreams. You can rub with your finger and it will not smudge. I am a brow SNOB and this stuff is perfection! Original review: This pen is great! I have used it twice so far and the hair strokes look very natural. The product really stays in place. I slept in my makeup last night (I know, not good lol), and my brows still look great today with no touch ups. I highly recommend! *** Update 2 months later *** After using this for 2 months, I did repurchase another pen. As with any liquid product, this will start to dry out after 1-2 months of daily use but that is to be expected in my opinion. Repurchasing this once every 2 months at the price is not a negative in my opinion. I did not have any trouble with the tip drying out while applying until 2 weeks ago which is your sign that it's time to purchase a fresh pen. I will continue to purchase this product for as long as they make it.

This is my 3rd or 4th? re-order. I don't know what I will do if it gets discontinued for any reason:( I have very sparse , light brows. This is the only thing in the world that has ever let me make realistic brow hairs, with a small learning curve that don't look drawn on, or fade during the day. The pen will dry out if not left stored upside down. It lasts me at least a few months. I'm always ordering another one before it runs out just so that I'll have a back up. Thank you allure! Glossier has a version of this, but it's less product for more money and the tip isn't a thin as this one. I have even ordered this for friends, it's that good.

I really wished this had worked: the color was perfect. At first use the ink was dry but noticeable. Second use, totally dried up. I wanted to return it and try again, but Amazon required the original packaging. Who keeps the original packaging on a $6 item?

I use these everyday. They're the best pen I have found for brows. They have a thin tip perfect for hair like strokes. Hate the Ulta stopped carrying them.

I'm truly bummed because I loved this product and was so excited to find such an accurate brow pen that was a good price. I thought the search was over.. I literally got two good applications from it which were to test it out and get the feel of this pen. I did not leave the cap open and when not in use, stored vertically so the tip is pointing down (good habits for such products). Two uses and it was like it was empty. I could get a stroke here and there, but it just kept giving less and less. Maybe I did something wrong, but I've been on the hunt for a good brow pen and have tried many - I know the do's and dont's. I'm so so soo bummed because it was amazing and so relieving for the brief moment I was able to use it. I thought my search was over. I may try it again - maybe it was a fluke.. but this is a great pen if it can actually provide more than a couple uses.

The only disappointment I have is that the product runs out quickly. The product design, color, and mechanism is first class. Perhaps the 3 times that I’ve purchased had been sitting on the shelf for a while. Since this is similar to a paint brush, I wish the package would include a date of manufacturing so that the consumer knows what they are buying. I love the application tip. It lays down a moderate, hair-like stroke of realistic color. The time it takes to dry allows you to finish application of one whole brown, and time to blur it for a more natural look. Fantastic product.

I love this brow pen; it’s my favorite brow product I’ve ever used. If you aren’t already here because of Katie Jane Hughes on Instagram, I recommend searching her (@katiejanehughes) and she has an instastory highlight about how she uses this pen. I find it’s extremely important to store these pens upside down to allow the “ink” to travel down to the brush, and also to keep the brush pointed down as you use feathering strokes to paint the shape and hairs you want. The faster you work, the better; some people say the pen dries out, though I find I have plenty of time for both brows, especially if I’m using more than one color. You don’t need to use a primer in advance of using these pens (some peoples he trouble if they DO use primer; something about the slippiness makes it difficult for the pen to stick. I’ve never had that issue myself but if you’re struggling try without primer). I also tend to use a brow gel on top of this, but only to wrangle my brow hairs into one direction. You certainly don’t need to. I’ve attached some swatches, since I had a really hard time finding any online. The main difference between “soft black” and “dark brown” is that the dark brown has a warm undertone and is much more opaque than soft black in my opinion. The idea is to use short, light strokes to apply this, so nothing will be too strong unless you want it to be. I tend to go in with soft black first to get the shape I want at the arch and to do some filling in, then I use medium brown on the inside of my brows and also to fill in, and then I use dark brown last just where I need some extra coverage. I certainly don’t recommend being this extra; I bought the colors to see what they looked like and found that I like the dimension of using multiples and also that it helps ensure my pens don’t dry out at an inopportune time.

This is the BEST felt-tip eyebrow pen. I’ve used SO many and have been disappointed by them all. (Glossier Brow Flick is too finicky and can be too Sharpie-looking if you’re not careful, and it has a tendency to leak if you store it upside-down; the drugstore ones from NYX and Loreal don’t make lines that are thin enough; the multi-pronged ones from K-beauty places aren’t pigmented enough; the dual-ended pencil and ink stain from Urban Decay wears off too quickly... I could go on). But THIS one? This one is so easy to use, and the results look so natural, like actual hairs. And it’s so easy to get really thin, precise strokes. AND it lasts all day! Seriously, I hope they never discontinue this. My absolute favorite.

I switched to this product a couple of years ago and I keep coming back to it! It can be fiddly at first to draw your brows on individually but after a bit of practise it’s so simple and quick! Gives a much more natural look too. Only thing is it’s not 100% waterproof and will smudge if rubbed.. but I still love it!

Questo prodotto ha rivoluzionato il mio solito modo di truccare le sopracciglia. Riesco con questo pennarello a riprodurre in maniera super super naturale i peletti, ci ho messo un pò ad imparare alla perfezione come usarlo (di punta posizionato perpendicolare alla pelle perfettamente pulita e asciutta), ma ora non posso farne a meno. Non è un prodotto specificatamente waterproof, ma sono rimasta shoccata dalla resistenza: dopo una giornata intera di caldo e alla fine di footing è ancora lì perfetto. Consiglio di lasciarlo a testa in giù, in questo modo si riesce a disegnare entrambe le sopracciglia senza perdere intensità di pigmento. In confronto a prodotti simili di brand molto più famosi costa meno della metà, che dire consigliatissimo!
