Photo does no justice
This nail kit is great! I am a first time user and I am impressed. It is easy to use 10/101) be easy with the base coat (or you'll have to dip your nails an extra time)2) make sure you have something to buff your nails and clean the cuticle. Just using the file works (just wished I did a better job lol)It feels like I got my nails done at the salon! The colors are beautiful, pictures do NO justice.Defiantly hold up on the first day after doing dishes ect.For the first time doing this it took me about 30 minutes. Worth it.

Beginner friendly!
The colors are nice, they’re slightly different than the photos advertised, but only slightly. I sampled each one and took a photo in natural light from just a window, and then with our bright kitchen light on.This was my first time using dip powder by myself but after years of getting SNS in salons, here are some tips to make things easier:1. Prep your nails!! Use alcohol/ acetone to remove oils from nail and then buff the shiny layer off. This is so important for making it last longer.2. Thin layers of the base coat are key. Don’t glob on a lot of base before you dip . I did 4 very thin layers. This allows for more coverage even after you buff.3. After each dip, allow the powder to soak in for 20-30 seconds before you blow or brush the excess off. This is IMPORTANT.5. Once you have your layers and have applied activator, buff, buff, buff. This is why I do 4 layers because the more you buff, the smoother and cleaner the nail will be. I recommend an electric file or if not that, then a good buffing block. The little file that comes with the kit is NOT sufficient to give a smooth finish. Also here is where you use a file to clean up the shape of your nail.6. For me, after I buffed, I applied one more thin layer of activator. Let that dry for 30 seconds to a minute and add top coat. One layer of top coat gives a really nice satin (not glossy but not matte) finish. If you prefer glossy then just let top coat dry for a minute and add second layer of top coat. 2 coats of top coat will also make the color last longer without breaking and chipping. And that’s that. It was easy and took me about 45 mins to do my nails. Most important steps is prepping your nails (buff the shiny layer off first) and also buffing the powder smooth before your top coat.

Cute colors, nice starter set for a beginner
I bought this as a starter set to learn how to do dip nails 1.5 years ago. It definitely served its purpose at a reasonable price (cheaper than one dip manicure for the set where I live!) The powder bottles are smaller than what you would expect but you can still dip a finger in with caution. I would recommend several accessories - specifically a nail drill and transparent dip powder (I bought modelones). The included nail file does not last long. At first the liquids seemed to work fine but after a while (more than a year) they stopped working as well so I was experiencing chipping after a day. Buying new dip liquids has improved longevity of my manicures! These are strong smelling dip liquids. My process:1. File the natural nail so it's not shiny and wipe clean with 100% acetone2. Apply base coat and dip in color powder. Brush off excess. Repeat.3. Apply base coat and dip in transparent powder. Brush off excess. Repeat.4. Apply activator.5. File with nail drill until smooth to the touch.6. Apply topcoat. Repeat. Don't touch anything for a while.

Practice, practice, practice
The colors are beautiful, quality seems good, but my skills are lacking. I'm not a fan of the top coat as it smells, feels, and dries like super glue which allows it to crack and break much more easily. (I use a gel top coat and uv lamp) Dips are "sample size" allowing for 3-5 uses, which is great for testing colors before investing in a larger container. I did sample nails so it would be easier to select my color as the color or the powder vs the finished product don't typically match up.

DIP MULTIPLE TIMES
Love all the colors and it turns out great but I have figured the trick is to dip my nail 4 times for it not to chip immediately or the next day 🫶🏼

Colors are not accurate
I was so excited to get these spring colors. I thought after the activator they would darken up like my others it did not. Colors are completely dull and inaccurate. Will not purchase again.
