Microjazz: Absolute Beginners (Book & CD): New Edition for Piano

I have used this book for many years in my teaching, moreso with older children who have never played before. It is beautifully laid out, the pieces are imaginative little gems and concepts are introduced in a logical and clear manner, unlike other tutor books. The accompaniments really add to the pieces and add rhythmic and harmonic interest while helping to instill a steady beat. A knockout book.

good solid starter book

In perfect condition even though the description says "graded". A nice easy introduction to sight reading and piano keyboard technique. Our 8 year old seems able to manage it without too much of a problem.

Easy to follow and it actually works well with the supplied CD. Gets you into playing Jazz from the start which self motivates.

I needed a book for my son who is just starting piano lessons. This book is ideal and challenging and has songs in it that actually interest him too! I am very happy with it

This a rock bottom basic book which is aimed a young children. It lacks the childishness of other tutors. If it was for adults there is not enough in my opinion to warrant the price. The next book is much better value. This is a shame because I am a big fan of Christopher Norton.
