I recently had to be at my mom's house for a couple of months, so I borrowed her cheap back-up yoga mat thinking it would work for my visit. It was a slip 'n slide even before I started sweating - and I sweat a lot.After extensive research of reviews on different mats, I was even more confused than before I started. So, I just ordered 5 mats to test. This one felt best to me for stickiness & padding right out of the box, so it was the keeper.I used it for 5-6 classes a week for just over 2.5 months - and loved it so much that I ordered another one for my home! This is my first mat with alignment lines and I was surprised that I use them - and the design - to focus on my alignment.I haven't had any slip with dry or sweaty hands. I did give it a scrub when it arrived with a few drops of dish soap in water. I also hung it outside for the first few days to let the smell dissipate.A few things you might want to know:It is heavy. I use the carry strap (included) just to carry it from the car into the studio.It is thick - and the firm rubber makes it feel thicker than my mom's mat, which is also 5mm. Some people don't like that, but I appreciate the extra cushion for my knees.It is rubber. It smells like rubber. However, it's not bad enough to bother me, and I'm overly sensitive to smells.I didn't try it for hot yoga - I don't do hot yoga. I already sweat profusely in non-heated classes.There are numerous mat reviews and comparisons on YouTube, although none for this brand. I still recommend watching several and/or reading multiple online reviews if you're in the market for a high quality mat. There are different options that will work for different people.I hope this helps!In the interest of full disclosure, I will mention that when I got home I returned to my B MAT (not to be confused with this BE Mat) & have this as a backup. They're both heavy, rubber, non-slip mats, but the B MAT is comfortably broken in.

I never leave reviews, but for this yoga mat I will. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because with cleaning it, some streaks don’t leave completely but that is the only reason. If you’re looking for a true non-slip yoga mat with alignment lines this is the one to get. I’ve never had a liforme mat but I dare say this is the best dupe for one with half the price and an amazing quality. I’m completely in love with it and the alignment lines have been such a huge help with improving my practice.

I loved everything about it except not a great travel mat because of the weight. I wish there was one like this but in a travel or smaller size. Could anyone explain to me how to put the strap on for carrying? Thanks

Previous had a Liforme yoga mat and I can say this one is just as good. Great mat at a great price! Recommended to my daughter

I am a beginner doing yoga and decided to buy this mat. I loved this yoga mat, it's perfect to do the postures since you do not slip at all. When buying it I was comparing it with alo yoga and lululemon and the truth is that they are very similar, yet this one is less expensive but still great.
