Extend your network quickly and reliably
OK, yes the cable is stiff when cold. Warm it up indoors before use and straighten it out so it's easier to fasten to outside wall. OK you need to drill a fairly large diameter hole in wall to allow for the connector and then tape up the connector to protect it whilst putting through hole. Apart from that...... one end into the router...… and the other into your TV (or access point) and there it is...… it works!!! Have used flawlessly now for Netflix for several weeks when previously Wifi/wireless connection was slow, unreliable and failed regularly. I was told a wired connection is always faster and more reliable, now I really believe it!!! As for the long term so far so good and lots of bad weather. No reason to expect it to be any different from any other externally rated cable.

Feels and looks like superior quality, outdoor ethernet cable (as described).
I bought this to transmit data and power from/to a CCTV on the side of my house. In my quest to obtain a proper external cable (rather than a black, indoor cable mis-advertised) I placed my order.Delivery was as quick as Prime membership promises (but very late in the day, which is par for the course for Amazon Logisitics). The product itself feels and looks very sturdy. A proper outdoor cable. A black outer covering, then a white plastic inner and finally a clear plastic film. I'm encouraged by the construction that it will last. I didn't find it too stiff, but then I didn't have to route it via tight bends like you might when installing cable indoors. Can't really comment on data speed, as I haven't benchmarked it - it does the job I need it to (CCTV).I'll be ordering another length when I install 'Camera 2'.Recommended.

Outdoor Cat5e Ethernet cable
With the impending move to BT Infinity I needed an Ethernet connection between my master socket, where the Infinity modem wil go, and my study, where all the computer stuff is. An internal route was impracticable but I could do it reasonably easily externally. I investigated outdoor Ethernet cable and this product was the right length (they offer it in various lengths) and a good price. Delivery was very fast. In fact I had actually installed it before the expiry of the quoted delivery window. It has a tough external PVC sheath and while it's obviously not possible to visually assess the electrical quality of a cable, it definitely had a quality feel. Pending arrival of Infinity, I have connected my Netgear modem to my AirPort Extreme router through the installed cable and everything is working fine.

Great for connecting to outdoor AP
I've been meaning to improve wireless coverage in the house and large garden for a while and finally got around to it.I bought another cable for connecting to an AP in the loft, and this to one outside on the back of the garage - the cable is quite thin, but feels well made and has a tough PVC coating.A few weeks in, no problem at all, hopefully it will be the same after the winter!

SORTED
Got this to get an internet connection in the bedroom which is the other side of the house to where the router is. Sorted the problem of rubbish wi fi internet even with fibre the signal was rubbish. Good easy solution to slow internet and cheaper than using one of those socket plug in devices that are crap and overpriced.
