What I Know for Sure

This beautiful book left me wanting more of 'the feel good factor'. And if a book can do that, in my opinion, is worth every penny! Here Oprah is at her best... crammed full of short anecdotal positivity, this gem inspires and understands us as only an enlightened soul can provide. With reference to Ram, Dass, Jesse Jackson, Maya Angelou, Oprah captures that spiritual search, we all find ourselves on, but cannot tangibly see. Her often poignant 'stories' show how she herself discovered great meanings to her life and her questioning of the universe, humanity etc are ones I often find myself doing too. With much grace, Oprah recollects times in her life, when simple blessings have proved major turning points in her busy life.This is a book to keep close by. To dip into when you need some soul food... once started, I could not put down. A feel good book with positive 'messages' we all need in our daily lives. Take a deep breath and begin what will leave you feeling you have had a soul deep cleansing and the 'high' that goes with that. Fantastic reading and thank you Oprah for a book (that took me two days to read) of words that have resonated beyond imagination and into the conceivable.

This book was given to me as a gift by a friend who lost her husband to cancer a few years ago. She has two small children and has had a difficult few years of grieving and coping. In the last 12 months or so she has begun to find the strength and courage to begin the return to living her own life again. This book is something in which she found strength and hope and I think it was part of what helped her find her way back to herself, her family and friends, to begin to see the world in a different light and to begin looking ahead in her life again, one step at a time. It is a wonderful book, very inspiring at times, full of hope and helps one prioritise in life. It also opened my eyes to what an amazing woman Oprah is. I would never have bought this myself and it is now always at my bedside, ready to dip into anytime I might need it. A wonderful, uplifting book.

This was a quick and easy read about the importance of self care and being true to yourself. I enjoyed it.

There truly aren't enough adjectives in the dictionary to adequately convey how utterly compelling, inspirational and motivational these four CD's are.If you have a close, loving family and lots of friends to give you guidance and advice, you won't need them, to be honest, But if, like me, you're not that lucky for a variety of reasons and you find yourself either at a crossroads in Life - unsure which way to turn, which option to take or which path to tread - and/or have many unanswered questions, this set of CD's will set you along the right path.I have been unsure about so many things in life recently: I just needed someone to set me on the right road. After listening to Oprah's inspirational advice as I lay in bed one night, I woke the next day a different person - full of optimism, clear on how to tackle career, job, relationships, friendships and confidence, and it's all thanks to Oprah.If any of this resonates with you or someone you know, just buy these CD's: you'll be so glad you did.

I recently watched a workshop that asked us to pick someone who inspired us and say what their life’s mission might be, I picked Oprah Winfrey and wasn’t really sure why so I bought this book. Firstly the book is beautiful, it’s a smaller size hardback, with a gold ribbon, and it feels special from the moment you pick it up, because of this it would make a wonderful gift. Secondly, it’s filled with love and passion that come out of each written word and just give you a hug. ,OST importantly, this book is filled with gems of wisdom that will help you feel a little better in every moment of your day.

I didn’t know much about Oprah Winfrey. I knew that she was one of the most (if not the most) successful black woman on television. I knew that she worked hard to get her production company Harpo. I knew she had won lots of awards and I knew she was generous (YOU GET A CAR) but I didn’t really know anything real about her. I decided to read What I Know for Sure and naively I read it with the knowledge that I just mentions. Now What I Know for Sure is a short book and it is told in small standalone chapters but I learned a lot about Oprah Winfrey and my distant knowledge grew to admiration. This woman has lived, she has lived a difficult life and she has worked so very hard for all the success she has had in her life and she is someone who has earned the right to be revered. What I Know for Sure is a glimpse at Oprah’s life, yes, but it is also a manifesto on how to be positive. I really enjoyed it. What I Know for Sure by Oprah Winfrey is available now.

I have given this book 5 stars for many reasons. I would not describe myself as a big Oprah fan simply because I do not really follow anyone. As a human being, as a female, as a mother, sister, partner, daughter, worker, co worker, aunt and neighbour, everything in this book makes sense to me due to my own life journey. Oprah pulls so much together in this book and I never felt preached at or felt that there was anything in here that should not have been. I learnt much about her journey and the way her experiences have shaped her along the way. She has an awareness that she lovingly shares with others for which I am truly grateful. Her voice is SO SOOTHING, her speech so clear. If you are open to learning and willing to widen your awareness and at the same time appreciate her journey and ways of being as you would with anyone else, this book is for you.

This book is amazing! It has changed my mindset and the way I live my life for the good! If you need some inspiration and positive encouragement, you should definitely read Oprah's book. It's easy to read, and the different themes in each chapter (which also link together nicely) means that you can read this book from start to finish, or different chapters as you please. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to empower themselves, renew their mind, take charge of their life and make a positive change to not only their life, but the lives of others. I will be referring back to this book for many years to come!

Really inspiring book. Makes you see how you influence your life and others. This book makes you think about your life and we influence it.

El libro está super bien me ha ayudado a muchas situaciones en mu vida que damos por sentado y dejamos pasar tmb me ayudo haver más agradecida

Da leggere d'un fiato e da vivere ogni giorno nella nostra vita, ogni piccolo insegnamento che l'autrice è riuscita a cristallizzare in parole semplici e pure. Dietro a grandi uomini e donne ci sono profondi percorsi personali di ricerca di consapevolezza, soprattutto di quali sono le proprie paure e cosa dà serenità e senso realmente.

Me encanta Oprah y este libro suyo es genial.Cuando no estoy muy bien me leo algunos capitulos suyos y enseguida me devuelve la sonrisa.
