Works great!
I wanted to have storage space for items that I didn't want to put inside, and I wanted a table. I have a 4W Camper so roof isn't an option really, and it kills gas mileage at higher speeds. I also wanted to bring my RoadShower. This swingarm provided the ability to customize without welding. Perfect. Pictured it a platform I put together, and it has worked flawlessly. Of course it was later painted with multiple coats and i screwed on some tie down points. The swingarm is very sturdy with good welds, not Chinese garbage. The triple redundancy is well thought out and i am very secure knowing it's going nowhere. I have taken this on 3 trips already on horrible washboards and rocky roads and nothing has rattled loose. I expect this to hold strong for years. Highly recommended, i think it's a good product. No it's not ideal for SOME offroading because of your departure angle but that's it. Don't go over the weight limit and it'll preform as advertised, I'm very satisfied.

Beefy swing hitch. Got the job done.
Great hitch. Got the job done. Had to jerry rig it so I can attach a previously bought larger hitch. Very beefy design. Only complaint is that its heavy. But I guess thats whats needed to be sturdy.

Heavy duty swing away frame
Swing away frame arrived very well packed to protect the finish. The frame itself is a very heavy gauge tubular steel ....nothing cheap about it. It is a very heavy duty carrier that when is opened allows complete access to the cargo area of a pick up even with the tailgate down. The frame has basically 3 different points to prevent it from coming open while you are hauling it down the road 1) hitch latch with a lift up lever that is spring loaded 2) a threaded bolt that screws into welded on nut 3) a pin that is meant to hold the frame open also helps keeps it closed when folded shut . They do offer a grill that was gas but I wanted charcoal so I constructed a frame for my grill and mounted it to a board that mounts to the carrier using the mounting holes for my own version of a swing away hitch mounted grill. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact their customer service as they are very helpful with any questions that you may have. I would also like to add that the hitch tightner that is included takes all the wobble out of the carrier when it is mounted in your receiver hitch.

A heavy duty carrier hitch mount and swings away from the back doors
Well made and sturdy. We mounted a full width steel basket to it. The mounting was fairly simple with the provided holes. Multi points of safety is great except in our case, using the attached pin by the hinge bolt, means we have to unload a portion of our load in order to swing the carrier away from the back of the van, since the basket is so wide, it covers access to the pin. I am rethinking about using this pin. I may come up with a different way to use it, such as from the bottom, with a cotter pin to lock it in place. This way, I would be able to pull it out from under the carrier and swing away without unloading. I think this is the best swing-away hitch mount available and I can highly recommend it. I would buy it again if we ever were to need another one on another vehicle.

I gave up the extra 50 to 150 lbs because of all the great reviews and settled for 250 lbs
Ad states 250 lbs limit - warning sticker on carrier says " DO NOT EXCEED 200 LBS MAXIMUM CARGO LIMIT" what happened to the other 50 lbs ? Which do I go by , the ad or the manufacturers warning sticker ? Do I get 1/5th of my money back if I got robbed of 1/5th of the weight capacity ? there are plenty of carriers for less $ that can go 300 lbs to 400lbs , I gave up the extra 50 to 150 lbs because of all the great reviews and settled for 250 lbs . now that I paid for it , I lost another 50 lbs , if I knew it only carried 200 lbs I would have never even considered buying it . by the time you mount it , add lights & tag hardware ,whatever platform or box or basket , you've already used half the weight limit . HOWEVER , it is very well built and very sturdy and a class a product , but somebody needs to get the correct info or stop the false advertising

Replace main axle/joint bolt prior to use.
I would give it a 5 IF, it truly could hold 250lb AND they used a longer bolt or a steel sleeve inside the main bolt hole. On mine (don't know if they do this on all or not) the main bolt that connects the two peaces together is short, the threads rub against the lower plate, slowly eroding the metal of the bolt thread, and rounding out the metal plate. slowly causing it to sag when not attached together, now I have to assist lift my generator (185Lb) up while locking it into place. worked fine for the first 50-60 opens, then slowly each week, the unit sagged more and more. Now it lines up about an inch lower than the frame mount. I replaced the main bolt and greased so the harden shaft was the contact point. needs a bearing insert or steel sleeve. It helped a little on height, and is not getting any worse, but the damage to the lower plate would need repairing or replacement. If you buy, get a longer bolt for long use for about $8.00

Swing away
We used the swing away to clear the tailgate on our Ranger pickup camper. It's heavy. We installed a Rubbermaid storage box on top put our licence plate on it and ran a light from the trailer jack.
