Brew Cent 12 Cup Coffee Maker

I was very impressed with the speed of free shipping. It came about 4 days earlier than expected which I was very grateful for as I was already going through caffeine withdrawals when my old crappy Black and Decker broke. "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" is essentially the attitude this coffee maker exudes as soon as you take it out of the box. It IS shiny and sleek, exactly as it is described on Amazon, and fits beautifully with my kitchen. Surprisingly, it barely takes up much space, especially great for condo living. Also makes a great cup of coffee awesomeness and note that I'm comparing the coffee quality to a Bodum French Press that we bought to ease the pain of caffeine withdrawal. The charcoal water filter and gold tone filter basket that came with it makes the coffee quality comparable to an awesome press, giving you a less oily but equally flavourful version (you're drinking the oil from the coffee beans when you use a press). Definitely 5 stars for the coffee quality and the stellar features: timed brewing, 1-4 cup option for a richer brew and the adjustable warming plate. Hurrah! Finally no more burnt coffee taste from the glass carafe sitting too long on the warmer!Overall, I gave it 4 stars for two things: The carafe for some reason dribbles coffee (and I mean just 1-2 dribbles) onto the warming plate when you take it out (not in the middle of brewing, when it's done brewing!). The condensation that some reviewers talk about happens only when you decide to lift the water lid all the way up as soon as brewing is over. A little commonsense will go a long way with this one; don't. When you're ready to clean the filter and such, just lift up the water lid halfway until it dries (about a couple of hours) and then do what you need to do. Really not a big deal.The second thing is the controls make me feel like I'm playing house sometimes; feels like a toy the way it's made and in the back of my mind, I'm terrified it will one day break and I will have to endure caffeine withdrawal pains again. For the price, features and coffee results, I think it's still a great buy because to get a completely perfect-in-every-way coffee maker, you'd pretty much have to shell out more than $250!

Attractive unit to leave on a kitchen counter. I am enjoying the use of this pot. Hope I can find the inner filters at a nearby store. I am still playing with the grind of coffee to make the perfect cup of coffee. I miss not having a coffee carafe made a of insulated stainless. Good price--Good quality.

We replaced a broken (same model) coffee maker that was almost 20 years old. The machine is almost identical. The construction is the same and no cheap parts compared to the older one. It Looks good, brews well, and has just enough features that it is simple to use and keep clean. Hope this one lasts as long. Good product.

we have owned one for about 17 years and had to get rid of it and buy the new one as it was leaking out the bottom. I decided to purchase another machine as we had god service with the old one. No complaints as it appears to have worn out. The new one is working very well thank you.
