Complete Medical 87501 Handy bar car Entry Side, exit Handle

This was suggested to my parents by an Occupational Therapist, as my mum found it difficult to get out of my dad's car. It's well made and very sturdy and couldn't be more simple to use. The metal end just sits in the u-shaped metal ring in the card body, near the back of your seat, with the handle pointing outwards. You can then use the handle to support your weight as you get out of the car. My mum's found it a big help. There is also a small blade, tucked safely away in the handle to cut through seat belts in case of emergency and the metal end can be used to smash windows for the same reason. A very good product.

What a fantastic product. Easy to use, very comfortable and my elderly father can now get in and out of the car with less effort. Also has the benefit of being able to break the windows or cut the seat belt if involved in a crash and stuck in the car. Worth every penny and will be buying another for my parents' car as we are currently sharing it!

I bought this to help my mother get in and out of the car and it works a treat. She is very infirm, and uses a zimmer frame, but with this little gadget and a bit of time she can get into the car safely. The trick is to back into the car, until your legs are touching the car frame itself, and then use it as a handle to press down on while you sit down. Then swing yourself round and you are sorted.. Great! Highly recommend.

Bought this for ungainly husband. It works thank heavens. He is now able to get in and out of th cars much more easily. Very good item

Absolutely brilliant little gadget. My elderly mum has been struggling to get in and out of my car for ages now. I did some research and discovered this via video reviews online and it has made getting out of the car so much easier for her. Would thoroughly recommend.

This has proved an excellent addition to the armoury of aids for my husband, who has Parkinson's. Prior to it's arrival it took a lot of time & temper getting him in & out of the car, now it's a much easier & quicker experience & he is much more confident. It's made a real difference.
