Been outside for some time and still looks new
I have 4 of these now. Three 40mm and one 50mm.The three 40mm locks have been outside for two years and still look and function as good as new.I recently decided to swap the one on the gate for a 50mm lock, the largest that would fit, for additional security. The first one that was delivered was faulty. It didn't seem right when I received it, and when I changed the combination it locked and wouldn't unlock. Returned and received another lock which has been fine.Fantastic lock, but there may be occasional faulty ones.

Small and a little fiddly!
Smaller than I anticipated, but that's my fault for not reading the description properly! Well made lock. Bought two, one of which is very pedantic to unlock. Numbers have to be perfectly in line, whilst the other is much more forgiving. All in all, happy with purchase.

ease of use
very relaible padlock, easy to set and change combination

Very secure strong lock
Very sturdy and sturdy, doesn't weigh a lot but Still strong, the numbers are easy to read , easy to set up , and you can use it in a lot of different security. The lack performs well , and the numbers are easy to see. This lock is very versatile. And comes at a reasonable price. And of course you've got no key to loose.

Disappointing lock from Squire
I bought this lock for a shed and paid a bit more than the cheapest lock to get something fit for purpose. Squire have been in the lock business for decades so should know what they're doing, right?First surprise was that the body appears to be made of plastic, not metal. Seems sturdy enough but this is not mentioned in the description.Second, the dimensions are wrong. The one I received is 70mm in length, not 165mm.Third, the code wheels are fiddly to operate and don't click into position and the lock won't open unless they're exactly right. The button on the bottom jams so it's also difficult to lock it again. It's impossible to use even with the thinnest cycling gloves on.Fourth, after less than 6 months the shackle is corroding. It annoys me every time I use it. I will either have to bite the bullet and throw it away or give it to someone I don't like.

They wear out eventually
Probably ideal for a shed you go into once or twice a week, but I use a 7 of these locks as light security for gates around a site - i don't expect them to stop someone with a mind to break the lock with a hammer or screw driver to hand, but they are enough to stop a normal person going where they shouldn't.Some of the locks are used 3 or 4 times a day, some more often, but after about 6 months, the tumblers become worn, sometimes the combination jumps (so instead on 1234, you might come in one day and find it's 2234), occasionally they seize or the release button starts jamming.Eventually, they are useless and go in the bin. They are however the best I have found at the price, although paying the price having gone over £20 now seems steep.

Simple lock, fussy combination setting.
This won't be the most useful of reviews, but I suspect not many are. We only got this for a gym locker so no testing in the rain. Who knows how secure it really is? I had a try following some videos about picking combination locks and it didn't play ball at all (good). But then maybe I'm just useless at picking locks (probability: high :-) ).Since I'm not going to destructively test it, I also don't know how good it is on that score. Truth be told, I avoided the unknown brands on here because I've seen some shockingly bad locks which seem to be being produced with zero real expertise or care. At least Squire has a brand name to protect and some track record of what works and doesn't so I figure they're going to make some effort at least. Compare that to a make you've not heard of and won't be here in six months. It works easily enough with the combination wheels having a nice feel (not too loose, not tight). Setting the combination requires removing a screw so is perhaps a bit more faff than other locks. But since you do this very rarely and it improves security (there's no access to the screw when it's locked), I'd say this is a good trade-off.The lock is encased in plastic so it's not possible to see what it's made of. They claim dual compound wotsit etc - who knows?Bottom line, it's a cheap combination lock but not from the cheapest unknown manufacturer. Provides a simple deterrent to protect low value things. Happy enough for our purposes. Personally I'd get something much better with wall to wall good reviews if trying to protect a shed or whatever.

This thing is fantastic
After having 2 different Masterlocks fail on me, and having to have the gym staff cut them off, I finally put quality over quantity and bought a Squire lock.It seems incredibly sturdy, has a very smooth opening when you input the code, and has never jammed up. It works exactly how it's supposed to. I waited 2 months after purchase before leaving a review to see if it would hold up after 50+ uses. Also it has no issues fitting in through the lock holes on lockers, in case you were looking for a gym lock. 10 / 10 would recommend.

Cómodo de usar y seguro
Es cómodo de usar, las tolerancias de fabricación son muy buenas, y dado su tamaño, seguro más que suficiente para taquillas o así en espacios compartidos.

Excellent outdoor gate or shed lock
I'm using this to lock some gates and wanted to go with a combination lock to make it easier to share access. I did my research and even though they can be harder to find in the U.S., Squire locks are very high quality and this is one of the better combination locks out there. It was very easy to set and change the combination, and the wheels are slightly larger and easier to manipulate than on other similar sized locks I've used. It's already been through some major storms and hopefully will continue to hold up well over time.
