Good stuff for Chessex Battlematt's
I used this ink to fill an empty alcohol based marker. That worked well. I had to use a small funnel to pour the ink in. I have one from a steam-engine model. The ink can be poured out of the insert tube.In my case the empty marker was a STYLEFILE, but I guess that any empty alcohol marker will do.I also tried an empty paint marker, but that wrote a bit too wet in my opinion.I'm using the marker for drawing maps on Chessex Battlemats. The Steadler non-permanent markers are the recommended tools, but there quite small. I wanted to have a marker with bigger nibs and I'm quite pleased with the result. As an alternative Crayolas Ultra-Clean Washable markers are quite cheap, have nice big tips and in my opinion actually works better for the Battlemats than the Steadler ones. They are easier to wash off although some of the lighter colors don't show very well on the matts. They only come in sets and I tend to use the black one a lot. This is why I came up with idea to use this re-fill ink to create my own black marker. I'm pleased with the result.

Found a wonderful pen that was perfect but when it began to ...
I have a visual impairment which means I can only write with black felt tips as I'm unable to read anything written in biro or pencil. Found a wonderful pen that was perfect but when it began to dry up, I found the cost to replace it was exhorbitant. This is brilliant as it allows me to re ink my pen rather than having to source another and paying through the nose for it.

False advertising
The ink is permanent and not non-permanent as it says.

Great way to save money!
This refill saves buying $10.00 a piece pens that are fantastic. I have been able to refill 15 pens so far and it still has a lot of ink left to use. I would get this again. It did take sometime to receive since it came from Japan, but if you plan ahead that shouldn't pose a problem.

Needs to be placed upside down to refill - see description below
Lost a star because nowhere was it made clear in the instructions or online that the pen will NOT refill by simple capillary action, as was implied in the description of the product. Other reviewers have also mentioned this. However, I got around the problem by inserting the pen tip firmly into the opening of the container and then placing the 2 attached items upside down in a tall drinking glass, so that the pen is more or less upright and attached to the ink container which is now upside down and above the pen, so that the ink can flow by gravity into the pen tip. The ink doesn't leak if the pen tip has been placed FIRMLY into the ink container opening. Leave for several hours or overnight. Remove the pen & ink container, still attached, and turn them upside down on a counter. The ink container is now upright and underneath the still attached pen. Use a kleenex or paper towel with your fingers to slowly remove the pen and wipe the excess ink from the pen tip. By doing this the Lumocolor pen can be successfully refilled.
