Amazing story of humility and courage under pressure from within and from those who scrutinize our decisions. Learning from our mistakes takes courage by not fearing them - an early life lesson young Sully learned that he later applied as Captain Sully and demonstrated being the right man at the right time under immense pressure... valuable life lessons and examples for us all.

Almost everyone remembers hearing about or reading about the 'Miracle on the Hudson.' Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) - a pilot who's been flying since he was 16 - along with his 1st officer encounter a bird strike shortly after taking off from New York's La Guardia airport and finds himself facing a dual engine failure. Now, with 155 souls on board he has to put his 45 years of flying experience to the test and attempt to successfully do the impossible - land on water (the Hudson River.) The film also shows how Sully's career is put on the line when the NTSB's initial investigation determines he could have made it back to La Guardia or landed - safely - at Teteboro Airport in New Jersey; but Sully insists - and proves he was correct - that the simulations conducted omitted several key factors. The bonus disc includes interviews with Sully, his wife, and some incredible behind-the-scenes. Not recommended for anyone with a fear of flying.

I love movies about true events that are just unbelievable. This is one of those. The situation was impossible, the actions unthinkable, and the results simply heroic. And TOM HANKS. C'mon, of course he was perfect in it. Terrific movie. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is a great movie.. kind of personifies Tom Hanks personality. Dignified and human and showing what good honourable intent can achieve. No 'baddies' ... just people doing their jobs to the best of their abilities.. most succeeding wonderfully, whilst others .. not so much .. but humbled and made less dangerous for the experience. That is what real life is like, or at least what it should be like .. unusual for Hollywood! Ewell done team!

He is such a hero for saving everyone on that plane treated so horrible .Great film though glad I purchased it

Really p.....off. clearly states on back of DVD not for sale outside of USA and Canada . And no the haven't got any of the suggestions to play it on w......s

Doesn’t even work on the DVD player....HAD IT SINCE APRIL 2017 went to put in on today for the first time January 2018 & it doesn’t work ! Money wasted too late to send it back !

Was unable to view the DVD as it's not playable in the UK. WHY SELL PRODUCTS THAT UK CUSTOMERS CANNOT PLAY ON THEIR DVD PALYER???Now we are stuck with a DVD that is useless to us!
