Stakmore Lattice Back Folding Chair Finish, Set of 2, Fruitwood

I purchased two sets of these chairs to use with a space saving table in an eating nook. They are attractive and functional as well as sturdy and comfortable. The collapsible feature was the selling point.

These chairs are excellent quality and you won’t be disappointed! They’re smaller profile and work great for a kitchenette area. These are not full size dining room chairs, but well made like them. The folding rails don’t visually jump out at you...they don’t bother me at all. Very nice taupe color diamond pattern seat material with small cranberry color dots. I bought the fruitwood which is a medium reddish brown color. The red isn’t a deep mahogany color. I wondered if the cherry color of the other wood selection was deep like mahogany, but couldn’t get a clear answer. These chairs match well for me so I’m glad I didn’t take a chance with the cherry wood... VERY NICE, VERY HAPPY! I can finally get rid of the old ugly chairs I had!

Sturdy, nicely finished, easy to fold. Look like real dining set chairs, that nice. Comfortable at a level way beyond typical folding chairs. Very nice fabric. The only downside is they are heavy. Like a real, sturdy wooden chair. Which is what they are. Just with a clever folding mechanism. People who sat on them recently had no idea they were folding chairs. Will never use metal folding chairs again.

UPDATE: On the chair's second official use as I was re-learning the trick to opening the chairs, my hand slipped from the front upper wood support and grabbed onto the seat cushion, which promptly pulled right off the wood frame. While it seemed well-fastened, it is held by eight soft machine screws (as opposed to better-suited wood screws or a metal receiver mount) into soft wood and fabric. Not good. I have repaired it with toothpicks in the holes, it seems to have close to its original mounting strength...maybe. While I should really go from my original five stars to three after that innocent goof by me for design issue, I'll go four because it was my flub that caused it to separate. They are still quality folding chairs.Word to the wise: DO NOT PULL ON THE SEAT CUSHION TO OPEN OR CLOSE IT! WOOD PIECES ONLY!************Our order of a 2-chair pack was just delivered on the date expected and we are delighted! I was concerned about reports of unfolding issues, but the diagram with the Amazon on-line description, also on the bottom of the chair seats, helped me open them with little effort. The mechanism is stiff, as it should be. As a result, the chair is far more sturdy than expected. The cloth pad seat is high quality and should wear well. We did find an errant staple protruding from one, which was carefully pulled out, leaving no lasting hole. We were doubly pleased to note the folded chairs will easily store in a crowded closet.Bottom line, we were somewhat concerned by user reports, but found the negative ones very exaggerated.

We bought these for my FIL's small apartment for when he has company. These are beautiful and so sturdy. Need to get some for my house.

Needed more dining room chairs for Thanksgiving and didn’t want guests sitting in card table chairs. Ordered two sets of theses folding chairs and they are just beautiful!!! Upholstery is wonderful, easy to fold/unfold, and as sturdy as the chairs that came with our dining room table!!! Extremely pleased with this purchase!

Great set of folding hard wood and upholstered chairs, well built and look great. We purchased to use in our motorhome as a third and forth dining set.

Nice folding chair to use as a spare when you have extra guests. For toddlers we put a strap on kid seat on it. We also changed the seat fabric to match our existing chairs. However, the flat back is extremely uncomfortable for teans or adults. We are going to try the other chair they make with a curved back.

The chair is good and easy to assemble. but I got it today and opened it and saw that one of the chair part was broken.
