HAPPY WIFE--HAPPY LIFE
Before waited about a 2-3 minutes for water just to get warm. Now have 105F water in about 15-45 seconds depending on last usage. First thing in the morning takes longer to heat up. Does not work like a electric hot water heater keeping water a set temp all the time, kicks on when you turn on the water. I connected to hot water line so unit doesn't have to work as hard for heavy usage. Take the instructions with you to the bathroom the next time you need to take a crap, that is about all they are good for. Refer the picture on Amazon for wiring diagram.

Does not get hot
I purchased this tankless water heater to put in a food truck I recently purchased. I purchased to replace the exact same model as it would only reach 106 degrees; I needed 110 to pass inspection. The new water heater would only reach 86 degrees; if you increased water pressure it would drop temperature and if you lowered the pressure the heater would shut off. I contacted Camplux via email asking if I was doing something incorrect. They requested a video. I sent the video the next day and then was asked for purchase details (Amazon order number) which I promptly provided. A day went by and I didn't hear anything back so I sent an email asking about the issue and was told they sent it to their engineering department. It has been well over a week and I have had ZERO follow-up from Camplux and I have initiated the return with Amazon. The prior owners of the food truck were able to pass inspection with this water heater so my thought was to get the same model so it would basically be plug and play. The original water heater (that came in the food truck) would get to 106 degrees but would not maintain that temperature for very long. This new water heater won't even get past 86 degrees.Customer service follow through from Camplux is severely lacking. I scrapped this idea and purchased a 2.5 gallon water heater from a different maker and it works as it should.

Model Te04 not quite as advertised
Does not heat 1gpm 55 degrees FahrenheitIts closer to 20 degrees @ 1gpmI purchased a shower head shut off valve "volume control valve" and reduced the flow to 0.6 gpm "2Lpm" and achieved around 50 degrees Fahrenheit.....the waterflow regulator built into the water outlet spicket did not seem to have any effect on the volume of water exiting the device and i would not recommend purchasing unless you have a low flow usage of around 0.5gpm.....For most applications i would recommend the TE06 6kw 240v model of this product. It requires a 2pole 30amp breaker ...They seem well built and compactly designed and the digital display can flip 180 degrees so it can be read in any mounting configuration.... also displays celcius or Fahrenheit ......Ps the display works perfectly and was showing a temperature of 118 degrees Fahrenheit @ 0.6gpm but the cameras dont like lcd screens......

It works perfectly.
So easy a child can install it! It's perfectly ideal for an rv. Which is it's application with me I bought it as the booster to the new water heater which can't keep up with hot water during the winter. This hot water on demand system heats the incoming water to 120° then it's routed in the water heater bringing it up to 140° giving me endless hot water, my dream of a 30 minute hot shower in winter in an rv is now a reality, the aggravation of doing in chore at a time while waiting for the water tank to recover is now over, if you wanna shower after dinner while I'm washing dishes you can there now is adequate and ample supply of hot water. With it being 120 volt and 40 amp resulted in minor adjustments to get it installed. After the work was done I welcomed my rig to the 21st century no more of the olden ways of doing it.

First unit dead on arrival; gets you 20-30 degrees temperature rise
This review is for the 3.5KW 120v TE04 version. The first unit I ordered from Amazon was dead on arrival. It would power up and make a clicky noise when putting water through it, but zero temperature change. Luckily returns are easier.I got a second unit from another vendor and it "worked." These are the results I got with water starting at 66 degrees vs. the spec.0.5 GPM flow: 96 degrees / + 30 degrees (vs. spec of +44)1.0 GPM flow: 86 degrees / + 20 degrees (vs. spec of +22)1.5 GPM flow: 75 degrees / +9 degrees (vs. spec of +15)It takes abut 30-60 seconds to get the water to maximum temperature.A few tips:- I wired this up to a TT-30P plug which works fine in a 30-amp RV plug like you might find in a campground.- You can put a Camco water pressure regulator in-line to prevent exceeding the inlet pressure.- I used a Niagra conservation low flow showerhead which has 0.5/1.0/1.5 GPM options with this to test it out.- Make sure to use some plumbing tape on the threads to prevent leaks.- The inlets are 0.5". You can easily get an adapter for a 0.75" garden hose at any hardware store.A normal shower is about 100 degrees, so with the 0.5 GPM flow and water starting in the high 60s you can almost get there. If you just want to warm up water a bit for hand washing or whatever this should work well. To "preheat" my ground water in my RV it works ok to let the water sit in the fresh water tank for a few hours then pump it to the heater rather than using the city water directly. That at least allows it to warm up to ambient, which for summer camping is warm enough.I wish that the unit worked with a flow less than 0.4 GPM. It'd be nice to be able to use a hand-held sink sprayer or something else very low flow and get water hotter. This unit is the hottest on-demand heater you can get running off a standard 30 amp campground circuit, and its easy to install.

Absolute Junk
If I could give zero stars I would. I bought one. It didn’t work properly. I returned and got this one and it’s still crap. Called the company one person said too much water flow so bought a water flow regulator and it still doesn’t work called back and they said not enough water flow. First person said 30-40 and it doesn’t work at all poor product and poor customer service
