HaynesThe Haynes Bicycle Book

I have been a fan of Haynes manuals for years for my cars. They were in plain English, simple steps, and photos/drawings. There was little I couldn't do on any vehicle if I had my Haynes manual. When I returned to cycling, I wanted the same freedom to make my own repairs and adjustments if at all reasonably possible. I was delighted to see this book even existed and, as it is recently written/updated, it definitely exceeds that of previous car manuals that were written at the time of the vehicle manufacture, and never updated. This is a definite MUST have for any bike owner looking to be self-sufficient.

This book mostly about old- style road bikes.Some depicted repair and maitenence procedures are bizarre and also outdated.If You are mechanic pro or just an owner of several modern bikes, much better go to more complete and modern Calvin Jone's Park Tool Blue book.I grow up on Haynes excellent CAR repair books, but Haynes bike repair book is not such good as I expected.

I've used Haynes for autos in the past, so this was about what I expected for a bike!

My only fault with the book was it took quit a bit longer than I thought to get it. But not a big deal, the book has a great photos and good information.

This was a Christmas gift for my grandson. He is into BMX. we were able to solve a a headset problem with the aid of this book on the very first day.

Good book

Very concise book with easy to read and understand maintenance procedures.

I bought this for my son who is super into bicycles. This is a handy reference book in repairing bikes.

Really useful book for cyclists who like to maintain their own bikes.
