Fun to make if you like a little challenge.
The product was SO much fun to put together. The directions for the most part were clear with some occasional hiccups in translation. Unfortunately it didn't come with the glue (even though it was supposed to). The music box doesn't work well/or at all but if you are looking for something fun to build and display I think its worth overlooking those small disappointments.

Music box book
The idea is very cute. Ordered for a friends birthday, and after they assembled it turns out some part of the electronics did not work. We'll attempt to create an On/Off switch by configuring the wires, but we're not sure if it's the lights, the sensor, wires, or what is wrong with it. The music box function is adorable, the construction is very cute, and the final display is lovely. If only those lights would work.

Exceedingly Disappointing - Bad Directions, QC, Electronics, etc.
Been eyeing these Book Nooks for quite some time now, and was excited to stumble on this kit, only to become thoroughly disappointed with the time/effort spent and the final result. The instructions are badly mistranslated, and though the assembly process should be fairly intuitive, the misleading directions may result in disaster--expect to improvise when you run into ambiguous steps. I believe there was a note that this should take roughly 4 hours to complete, anticipate at least double that. You'll likely run into at least a handful of the wood pieces breaking when trying to pop them out. This is especially the case for those smaller/intricate pieces, like the antlers that were supposed to go on the fireplace mantle, which shattered into 4 pieces and were not salvageable. Other pieces, like table legs, were repairable with a little glue and overall not entirely noticeable. Perhaps the biggest let down is once you're through final assembly--the LED electronics are a joke. The "Human Body Sensor Light" description isn't even close to what actually happens. Instead of there being a temperature sensor of sorts (I find this rather hard to believe) as claimed, the unit lights up for a minute or two, turns off for a few seconds, and repeats until the batteries are drained--it does NOT shut itself off after someone leaves the room. I tested this over the course of two evenings to find the batteries completely drained by morning, though no one entered the room for 8+ hours. Discouraging to find these tiny LEDs will drain your batteries rather quickly. Though everything is glued together now, I'll likely have to find another lighting solution as this simply is not viable. Neat concept and it does look decent tucked away between books, but overall absolutely not worth the effort. May wait a couple years and try again if there are improvements made to these, but simply cannot recommend as of writing this.

Error in Parts
The holes in Part I-17 are not in the proper location to insert the tabs on the top of the bookcase

Missing music box
Very pretty, but I specifically bought this because of the music box and I didn't get it.

Love love it !
Great !! The glue wasn’t included, but I used wood glue. The lights stopped working almost immediately after installation, the music box gets stuck, and some part of the instructions is unclear but the rest is great !
