A life saver for those wanting to avoid scars
After my double mastectomy, I started using these silicone scar sheets, and I can honestly say they made a big difference. My scars began to fade and smooth out faster than I expected. The sheets stay in place, are comfortable to wear, and don’t irritate my skin. I was consistent about using them every day, and the results really showed. As a breast cancer survivor, it’s been a long healing journey, and these helped me feel more confident in my recovery. I’m so thankful I found them.

Excellent scar treatment
I used this 2 weeks after my Thyroidectomy. I was very happy with the results as you can see in My pictures. Photos are from 1 week, 3 weeks and 6 weeks post procedure. I used the NewGel cream on days I had to work and used the strips when I was home. I would wear them all day and night. I would clean my neck prior to use so the strip would adhere better. I agree that the my do not stick as well after about 2 weeks of use, however I never needed to use anything to help it stick. I cleaned them with dove soap. The are long enough that I got 2 uses out of one strip. I found that if I stretched it a bit when I put it on it stayed on better. I am very happy with the results so far. I started using it once the dermabond came off my incision. Even my Doctor made a comment that my incision was less red and less swollen than he normally sees in his patients. I will continue to use both products over the next few months. My only complaint is that I wish the Gel had SPF in it. *UPDATE* It has been 12 weeks since my procedure. My scar is continuing to fade. I am still using both the gel and the gel strips. However I have noticed that my scar is significantly less red after wearing the strips. If you are deciding the strips vs the gel I would choose the strips. There is a problem with adhesiveness, especially with the warmer weather and sweating. I find that it sticks better if you stretch it a bit while applying. Also I clean the area around the scar with rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball to dry the area out before I put it on - and this does help it to stick better. I also will use bandaids on top on it to help keep it on. I just ordered another box this week.

My Scars are Going Away
My plastic surgeon recommended this product after she excised some moles on my face. I've been using it at night for about a month and it seems to be doing the job -- we will see for sure after the recommended three months of use. This scar treatment sheeting has a thin fabric backing, which I think can serve as some protection from sun exposure, but for some reason it doesn't stick reliably -- I need to use adhesive tape to secure the product. NewGel+ Advanced Silicone Scar Treatment also makes a clear sheeting that I prefer -- it sticks better (without tape) and isn't obvious on my face, although it may not provide sun protection. If you need sun protection and prefer something less obvious than the sheeting products, NewGel+ has a UV protection silicon salve. Don't use any of these products until your wound is healed and your physician tells you it's safe.

Will not stick
I ordered these for scars from a recent surgery. I specifically chose these sheets because they were thicker and I thought that might help with the scars. Unfortunately these have hardly any stick at all. I use them for the first time yesterday and they're already peeling off and will not hold. I do not recommend them at all.

These work incredibly well
I got a pack of these sheets and used them on both a new scar and an old scar. I wash my skin twice a day and pat dry with a clean towel, then apply the sheets. So far the new one is healing way faster than scars usually heal for me, and the old one's even looking a little better after a few weeks. I've tried other scar gels and strips, and none worked quite this fast or well. I'm not excited about the price, but I don't want to use anything else because these work so well. A few tips: - These don't stick to my skin very well. I tried using a bigger size sheet but it still falls off halfway through the night. So I found 3M Micropore tape (paper surgical tape that doesn't pull on skin, and has tiny pores in it to let air through) on the NewGel website, you can also get it on Amazon. I cut the silicone sheets to be a little bit larger than the scar, then I tape them down. It holds really well, I don't have the issue anymore where the sheets fall off. - If you're washing and reusing these, and they're losing stickiness, wash them one more time with a dish soap and then use a hairdryer on really low heat. It seems to make the stickiness come back a little.

Good scar tape
Does not stick on its own but you get a tape to use with it and that helps it to stay… still watching to see if itll help with my raised scars though. Its thick too

immediate improvement
I had a burn on cheek bone from a chemical I used to remove an age spot. It was a deep wound and took 3 months to heal. Anyway, there was a popup scar newly formed. I used a strip I cut to size for 12 hours to test it because the directions say that some people may get a rash (they recommend testing it for 4 hours). When I removed it, I was stunned to see that the pop up scar had flattened out and that the delineation between the scar and my skin was closing. I simply cannot believe that such progress was possible in so short a time! I gently washed and dried it and put on a new one and will check it after 24 hours. This product gives me real hope that this will eventually completely heal. UPDATE: Almost 2 weeks later and scar continues to improve. The redness has decreased significantly. The scar has flattened out and is blending in with the healthy skin around it. The adhesive works well for me, but in the shower it always comes off. So, I take it off before showering once a day and then carefully dry it and re-apply.
