Works great
Bought this for my dad who is elderly and has some health issues, but wants to live by himself in his own home. This device allows him to contact me in case of emergency by pushing a button. It's easy to program. We have landline numbers programmed into it and cell phone numbers. We programmed 4 family phone numbers into it. The device automatically dials each number until someone answers, and if no one answers we have it set up to then call 911. This give us peace of mind knowing that my dad can contact us if he falls, etc. and can't reach his regular phone. This was a necessity for us and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Peace of mind
This worked just as described. Love it!!!As with most elders, my mom doesn't feel comfortable calling 911 so we set up the first call to my brother's cell and the 2nd to 911. Mom knelt down one evening to pick up a remote that fell under the buffet and could not get up. She pressed the button and when my brother was unavailable to answer, the call went to 911. Mom was able to speak to the operator and explain what happened. They were able to assess her condition and get directions to where the spare key was.The ability for the wearer to talk to 911 operators is wonderful. This unit has the speaker in the wearable pendant. Most other systems have the speaker in the base unit which is of no help if the elder is at the other end of the house.Of course the fact that there's no monthly subscription is also a big plus.My brothers and I are extremely pleased with this system.

A Nice Safety Item That Works Well
This device works fine. The set-up takes a bit of study and patience but is not too bad. I repeated the set-up twice since I incorrectly entered the first phone number it was programmed to dial. Operator error! Once set up correctly it works great. Our use is for my disabled wife. I set it to first call my cell phone. If I don't answer it calls my cell phone again. If I don't answer that time it calls my daughter's cell phone. If she doesn't answer it calls my other daughter. It is not currently set to call 911. We tested it all sorts of ways and it worked every time.

The perfect solution for our mom, wish we bought it years ago!!!!
We searched for a while for some kind of life alert service for our 86 year old mom. She is old school, no wifi, no cell phone, and only has a land line. She has Parkinson's, has fallen a few times this year. We wanted a way for her to be able to contact us if she falls without calling 911. This product was easy to use, the battery lasted 2+ months and alerts you when the battery is low. A second battery is always fully charged in the unit. You just keep swapping the battery every couple of monthsThis plugs in like a normal phone...he unit is up in her bedroom, then you have a choice of wearing it as a necklace or on your wrist. She wears it around her neck, it's very light. It takes 10 minutes or so to program the phone numbers you want it to call and one of them could be 911 if you want. We have it going to myself and my 4 brothers and sisters. It keeps cycling through our five phone numbers until one of us picks up. But you can do up to 5 phone numbers and one can be 911. Also while we are talking to her...we can dial 911 and the 911 operator will be linked to her phone number and address and take over the conversation. She has fallen twice in the past 2 months and had a couple days where she couldn't get out of bed without help. It was very helpful as she could have been stuck for hours or even a day or two if we didn't have it!It also nice because when her phone rings she can actually answer the phone by pressing the one button on the front...then she can talk to us. So if she is laying down she doesn't have to get up to answer the phone. We call every morning just to make sure she is up and has taken her medications. This really has been a life saver!

Second device - excellent product
This alert system is extremely well made and the design well thought out. Once connected to the phone system (easy), batteries charged and telephone numbers added, it is ready to go. Add your preferred four numbers , the fifth is already 911, so if for some reason none of the four parties answer, 911 is called automatically. So there will be a response no matter what. My mother (83) has one and this one was purchased for my mother-in-law (88). Both are independent and live alone. A two second push on the transmitter sets off the system and the first number is called, then the next, etc.. Once contact is made, the wearer can talk through the transmitter! Although no device is perfect , it is reassuring to know that there is at least some way for them to contact us if they have fallen or otherwise become immobilized and can't help themselves. No monthly monitoring fees is a side benefit.

Out of date software problem on a new unit!!!
I hooked this up for my mother on Friday and by Saturday there was a message constantly going off that said “friends only F7” coming from the base unit. I had to unplug the device and remove all batteries as the company was closed. I just called the company today and she said the software was out of date and the unit would need to be returned. She was VERY rude and even though I would love to have this unit for my mother I’m not sure I want to deal with this company!!! I don’t understand how the software for this unit could be out of date when it is the newest version. My fear is to get another one and when they update the software again then will the unit be obsolete?
