Outward Hound Granby Splash Orange Dog Life Jacket, Medium

Ordered a size large for my Husky x Malamute, who weighs about 33kg. Fairly good quality but I did notice one of the straps was hard to tighten up as it kept coming loose when adjusting it. The front velcro flap could have been longer, but the underside velcro flap was perfect and offered lots of adjustability. Size was spot on, could have been a little longer in the back but provided extra buoyancy when she was swimming. The colour is also bright making her easier to spot in the water. She had no issues running around or swimming in it, and didn't show any discomfort whilst wearing it. Overall very happy with how quickly it was delivered and found it reasonable value for money.

I wanted to buy a lifejacket for my dog as we are taking him on holiday to the Algarve, and so far he hasn't learned to swim (he backs out of water once he feels his body rising). I wanted to be on the safe side, but also as he is not used to hot weather it should help keep him cool when we are on the beach. He can be a bit of a troublemaker too so I thought the handles would be handy in case I need to grab him easily. I'm so happy I chose this jacket! After looking at several options and reviews I opted for this one as it looked to be well adjustable and made from quality materials. Once received, it lived up to those expectations. The velcro on the neoprene waist band is especially useful for fitting it onto my wriggly doggy, and feels comfortable and secure on him. When I lift my dog using the handles the jacket feels comfortable and secure, and he doesn't mind at all. My dog is a crossbreed so I'm never sure what size to buy; I took a chance without measuring and went for a medium, which fit him like a glove! If it helps others, he's a similar height to a staffy but a slimmer build, however the build shouldn't make too much of a difference as there's still a lot of room to adjust the straps for a bulkier or chubbier dog. So far there's nothing I dislike about the product, and for the price I think it's great value for money.

My dog does not know how to swim. He refuses to stand in water deeper than his elbows. I am going to get him some swimming lessons as i live near the coast so i thought i’d get him the most buoyant jacket i could. I got the small as i read that most dogs need the next size up. I think he could have fitted in the XS but it would not cover most of his back/body. It’s easy to adjust, and is lightweight which means he retains his mobility. I love the colour so i can easily see him and i think it will really help him keep safe. For the price, i think it’s really worth it! Good item to have just in case for most dog owners! My dog is 16” chest, he is roughly 5-5.7kgs and 30cm high ish. Hope this helps!

Fantastic! Nice and bright, saw a blue one recently and thought.. mm if you lost sight of your dog, you wouldn't spot him so easily. It's not overly bright though and very smart to look at. It's paler than the photo but I like it better. It's solidly built and beautifully finished off. Great quality. Fab fit. I have a 2 year old 53lb standard poodle, 28/29" chest and 22" from just below his collar to the base of where his tail starts. I bought the Large and it fits him beautifully, I just needed to adjust the straps. My dog has his name engraved onto his collar but I would have liked to have had a place for his name and my number. I'm thinking about using a sharpie permanent pen to write straight on it Love the neck float which will help to keep his head above water. have tried picking him up via the 2 back handles and they work a treat. Now I have peace of mind for our holiday by the sea and his obsession with retrieving sticks. :) Would def buy again and I highly recommend. :)

Item is exactly what is described. It is orange for good visibility, the straps adjust to fit the dog, she seems comfortable in it. I haven't tried the dog in it in water so can't say how good it actually is as a lifejacket but can't see why it can't do what it should. Really lightweight and comfortable padding. Happy with it.

I bought this for my ageing retriever who was struggling to swim with her severe arthritis - it has been fabulous for her as it means she now feels safe enough to swim out of her depth again - which is great exercise for her. We've had the jacket for just over 6 months now and it's been used almost daily and has so far stood up well. My only criticism of the jacket is the size - it's a touch on the small side even though for a dog of her size she is quite slim (only 27kgs and we bought the large) - we have a bit of a struggle to fit it around her chest with the velcro fastenings and the fastening under her neck ends up with the float on the side rather than under her chin. If you are worried about fit my advice would be to go larger rather than take a risk with a smaller one.

True to the reviews, I bought this for our small corgi puppy (about half the size of a typical adult corgi) and she might outgrow it as she reaches her adult size since it's a bit smaller than the measurements given. However it does a great job at keeping her afloat in the water and she now loves swimming! So glad we bought this and we will definitely buy a larger one when she outgrows it! Highly recommend!

Our baby is a 70lb American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull) and we ordered the large. The fit is great. He loves to swim and this makes it easier on him. He wears his life jacket and swims safely the entire time we are at the lake. The orange color has great visibility in the water. The best part is that our dog is happy and comfortable in his life jacket. He even gets excited when he sees it! The life jacket appears well made with clean stitching and secure fasteners. This is our first season using it and we've already had it a month. Highly recommend

Por fin un flotador de verdad! Había probado varios chalecos para mi perra y con todos se hundía, ya que es pequeña pero pesa mucho. Este ha sido el único chaleco con el que realmente flota y no tenemos que estar preocupados. La zona del cuello es super importante y buena idea, ya que hace que su cabeza siempre esté sobre el agua.
