What a great backpack! I love the two front compartments and that the main area unzips so that it opens like a suitcase. The side pouches are deep enough to hold a 24 oz.water bottle and the additional straps will secure it into place. They even included two separate zipper pouches, one I’ll use as a first aid kit, the other for shoes. The size is the maximum allowed by airlines. All of this at a very reasonable price. Did I mention the chest strap? No more sliding off my shoulders. Excellent buy!

Great backpack for a personal item. I fly Frontier and they have gotten so picky with personal item bag sizing, so I had to find another bag that measured as close to the size limits of 14"H x 18"W x 8"D. It's slightly smaller, but it's super close. As long as you don't overfill it, you will have no issues fitting it into the bin. I have both the black and grey colors (my dad took my black backpack, lol) It also comes with bonus packing cubes (use to keep your bag small!) and a shoe bag (I use it for laundry). Great amount of pockets and there's a strap inside to hold your bag contents together. I'd avoid using the pockets to be honest since you need to keep your bag slim--again, if you're using this as a personal item. It also expands, but again, if you expand it, it may not fit in the bin. You can also put a laptop as well. I wish I could attach a crossbody strap, or at least I wish it had a handle on the long side of the bag. Although it's made fairly well, I doubt it can take a beating like a hiking backpack, so it's a good choice if you fly every once in a while. A great, budget bag for those random flights you take with Frontier.

The backpack itself is solid—lightweight, durable, and with plenty of compartments that make it great for traveling. The straps are comfortable even when the bag is fully packed, and I appreciate the sleek design that doesn’t look bulky. That said, my main disappointment is that the packing cubes, which were supposed to be included, were missing from my order. One of the reasons I chose this backpack was because it came advertised with those cubes to help with organization, so it was frustrating to receive only the backpack. Without them, I had to buy my own separately. Overall, the backpack works well, but not receiving the complete set keeps me from giving it a higher rating.

I’ve traveled around the world with this backpack and it has held up amazingly well. The build quality is excellent and I’ve never had issues using it as a personal item on airlines. The layout is practical, the suitcase style opening makes packing easier, and it fits everything I need for 1–2 week trips, whether for work or tourism. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my husband for when we travel. He loves it. It’s fairly lightweight and it’s big enough to hold all items he needs for weekend trip or short getaway. He also carries my laptop in the padded sleeve - such a thoughtful husband! He really likes that the whole front unzips so no more digging for items. The back flap allows it to ride on the handles of my carry on suitcase. The color is nice with the leather accents. It was packaged weirdly - folded in half a couple times so it did take a few days of hanging it over a clothes hanger to regain its shape. Overall great purchase and quality!

This brand was recommended when I searched online for carry on backpaks. Went with the 40L bc can expand./compress with side zipper. Came in a variety of colors. Had to get it when it went on sale. Well packaged and came on time.. Extra bags for shoes, toiletries or small clothing, and another bag I'll use for dirty lingerie and socks. Material and seams appear sturdy. Nice trim. I wanted one that would hold some shape when empty, not flimsy nylon, but still could be rolled up to store away. Spacious for a long weekend trip. Spaces for a water bottle and cell phone on sides. 4 zippered compartments. Wish the inside one was split into mesh and waterproof compartments instead of 1 entire mesh one. Lighter than a rolling bag. New item smell, not bad, but aired it out of plastic bag for a few days. The buckles are not very rigid - skimped on the plastic. Hopefully won't break but can purchase replacements I think. Can't wait to use it. Update: Fit a lot for my weekend trip. About 4 pounds. Not used to carrying that much weight on my shoulders which resulted in some muscle spasms in my back each time I took it off. Will have to practice before my next trip. Was able to fit it in the hotel drawer out of the way and take out what I needed keeping things clean and neat. Another drawback is front pockets have no sections for pens, eye glasses, etc so end up rolling around. But overall, was fine for the price.

Love this backpack. Lots of accessible pockets to keep everything organized. Good quality construction and fabric. Used it to travel to Costa Rica for two weeks. Was able to carry on the airplane. The only thing I miss is a waist belt. It gets heavy after wearing it for a while.
