Cut to the Chase - it's a great tool, for home DIY & likely the trade, **UPDATED** but only as a 230 volt model grinder/cutter
The Wolf Angle 9inch / 233mm Grinder/Cutter comes very well packed, in an outer plain corrugated cardboard box, with the illustrated product item box shoe-horned inside it. The Wolf Grinder/Cutter is better than I expected, and came with spare set of motor brushes, a moulded 3 pin UK mains plug which was not made of brittle material so is built to stand a certain degree of knocks/bumps. The cable for the grinder/cutter is very substantial, though the mains electrical connection lead seemed a little short, though with my extension lead I had enough flex cable to manoeuvre around what I wanted to cut (concrete). The twist/rotating/locking handle is a really good feature as you can change the activating switch/lever so that you are able to hold it at the best possible angle for you to get at what you need to cut/grind. The 'soft-start' works really well, building speed from stop to full speed quickly but without any associated jerkiness. There was plenty of torque produced by the motor/gearbox, and the motor did not seem to get overheated while I was using it. The Wolf branded Diamond cutting disk supplied lasted really well for the concrete I needed to cut through, which just so happened to be 3 inches / 75mm thick, which is basically the maximum this device will handle. The grinder/cutter never seemd to be really troubled by even the toughest of the concrete I had to cut through. The Power LED was very dim, and seemed unlit when in the brighter outdoors, so this feature could do with improvement. The user instruction manual is also a bit lacking in details as there seems to be a parts list, but unlike many other manuals the parts don't seem to have a part number associated to them, just a list of sequential numbers, and the instructions don't mention the LED and other features of the the product are skimmed over in the instructions, this needs to be improved upon, in my opinion. The price from UK Home Shopping via Amazon.co.uk was the best I could find & unlike some others I found also included a Diamond cutting disk. It would be good to have a storage box included with the product, but no doubt this would affect the total price for the product. Overall the LED and the short mains lead were the main areas with a need for improvement. Other than that I would rate this product as VALUE FOR MONEY and AN EXCELLENT GRINDER/CUTTER.** UPDATE Septemberr 2018 ** - I have used this grinder on quite a few occasions, and rarely needed to remove the cutting disc. However, recently I had occasion to do so, but found that the 2-pin removal spanner was not up to the task, and started to bend the pins rather than undo the circular threaded securing nut.So, I ended up needing to use a "Record" make - Stilson wrench to remove the circular nut, as being the only tool that I could lay my hands on to undo the now very tight circular nut, which the Stilson wrench did the job easily. After straightening the pins on the supplied 2-pin spanner it will now undo the circular nut as it did originally, and hopefully I won't need the Stilson wrench for a while. I have added this update to offer advice to anyone else having a similar difficulty with their Wolf 9" Industrial Angle Grinder 230mm tool.

Ideal for 2"-3" [50mm-70mm] cuts, otherwise take care.
This 9inch / 233mm Cutter is supplied with a single disc that is suitable for cutting concrete or stone. There is a minimum of assembly to be carried out, the metal guard needs to be fixed, then the blade added [something that shouldn’t be unexpected]. The grip handle can be affixed in three different positions, so it caters for someone who’s left handed. The motor seems quite powerful and the 'soft-start' works well, [and came with a spare set of motor brushes] the speed building from stop to full speed quickly but without causing any jerkiness and seems to cut with ease. There are a few minor issues however. Although you have a 9” [233mm] disc, the cutting depth is limited to just under 3” [70mm] or so but [tut! tut!] removing the safety guard gives an extra ¼” [5mm] so it won’t cut your common red house brick clean through [you need a bigger disc for that]. The lead is quite short, around 3’ [1m] or so, so you’ll almost certainly need an extension lead [again that shouldn’t be a surprise]. It’s also quite heavy, not at first, but after a few minutes it’s surprising how the weight seems to grow, but it’s no worse than others. There is no storage box with this either and once assembled it won’t fit back in the supplied card box, unless you dismantle it after use.If your looking to cut paving slabs, this will do it, but so will a 4” [100mm] cutter which is lighter, cheaper and easier to use [–that’s what I do], on the other hand, if you want to put in windows or a patio door etc, this won’t cut the brick or block through in a single cut and you are probably better off hiring a larger one out. A great buy, but make sure you know exactly what you want it to do such as make 2”-3” [50mm-70mm] cuts in a single pass.

Great product.
This is a good machine. Once we'd established that the metal cutting disc is a "thin" one, and we'd worked out how to turn over the middle spindle disc to fit it, the machine assembled quickly. Cutting blocks was simple and easy, producing an accurate and clean cut. Wear earplugs! It's a powerful cutting machine, it's noisy!!

Not recomended
Have had this grinder for about 18 months and the motor has failed, only used twice once on thin roof sheet took less that 5 mins to cut and then on some 12mm steel rod when motor failed. I like the soft start motor and the rotating handle. I got this to replace a grinder I had for over 30 years that was still in working order but because of on/off switch was deemed unsafe.Supplier was very helpful sending a new set of carbon brushes but could not provide motor parts.Very disappointed.

Not the usual daily grind
Such good value with the included disc it was a no brainer really. It has paid for itself already and still looks like new. Not the easiest thing to store but that's not the end of the world. The soft start is a nice feature but it has taken a bit of getting used to. If I lost it, I would buy another if that's a good enough recommendation.

Versatile handles
First impressions are positive - any awkward working position seems well catered for with the rotating main trigger handle & the triple mount options for the side handle. The soft start takes the initial "kick back" out of the equation and the 2300W motor seems capable (2500W would have been nice but you can`t have everything at this competive price point). The inclusive cutting disc is a bonus but I haven`t cut enough blocks or paving slabs to comment on its durability yet BUT it does cut cleanly and the machine is a delight to use.

cuts through concrete like a knife through butter
On time and as advertised, very impressive, cuts through concrete like a knife through butter, seems of sturdy construction and its ability to be turn left handed and right handed means easier to use.

Great machine for the price
I bought this to cut quite a number of paving slabs so if it lasted to do the job then it is much cheaper than hiring one. That said I have finished the job now and the machine (and blade) are still going strong. Great machine for the price, cuts through 40mm slabs with ease, only problem is the huge dust cloud that results but as yet not had any neighbours billing me for window cleaning!
