Q: Can the low speed 1/3 hp 6" grinder run a Cbn wheel?

Yes, I use Moao Store Tools, Full Nickel Plating, 6'' CBN Grinding Wheel, 180 Grit. 1/2'' Bore with no issues on this grinder.

Q: Can this grinder use a wide 1-1/2 in. wheel ?

The specs say the included wheels are 6” diameter, 3/4” wide, with a 1/2” arbor hole. I do not believe this will hold a 1 1/2” wheel without modification.
