Looking at various similar items on amazon, I went with this because despite being a bit more expensive, it had the best reviews. At £45 it feels over priced, but it superficially looks good. I wanted something with a lid to keep dust off records that I play often, rather than to store them with any real protection, so it should fulfill that need fine. It doesn't have any peeling edges inside, unlike some other similar ones on here, but the lining is very thin. Weirdly the lock area is probably the worst bit as the inside there is not quite flat -- as the sides themselves and the material is very thin and the lock area is slightly indented. I've put a buffer inside to stop my records repeatedly hitting this uneven surface when flicking through. The title mentions there being room inside for padding but you wouldn't seriously use this case for transportation as it isn't strong enough, so I don't think extra padding should be needed to keep records in good condition as is. There are also some small sharp edges around the lock area that could have been finished more nicely but shoudn't cause an issue with careful use. I would just expect a better level of finish for this much money. All in all, okay, should be at least £15 cheaper for the build quality.
