So, I just received my chair mat in. Per the description it is exactly as described. I was hesitant to buy it due to the adhesive backing, but read that it is the same backing as the glass protection you put on a cell phone. That is right on point correct.Material is soft not rough like some rugs you buy. Looks to be pretty good quality as well.The only difficult thing is getting it to actually be as flat as possible. Some areas have bumps in it even after stretching and smoothing. Oh and definitely be sure to clean your floor. I swept and hand cleaned my area. I stretched it as suggested before putting it down as well. Item comes folded in a bag, so it doesn't help with the flattening part. Not: this is the lightest grey that was offered. Overall I think it will do the job, or I will see how long it actually lasts after heavy use since I will be working on it everyday.

I was already looking for a nice area rug or carpet runner even those rubber mats more typically used in garages for my work-from-home setup. I really needed something that could but used to roll my deck around on as needed and to deaden some of the sound bouncing around too.I really had my heart set on a couple of those 3D rugs that look like they're swirling into an abyss or how you'd 'no-clip' into the Backrooms. But I said naw, I'm too old for stuff like that... but I still might get one anyway.But this mat is really nice. Its soft but has a very office sense of purpose to its look. I'm glad I got the size. I did measure to see how much actual floor space it would take up. I was almost on the money about that. And now I feel like the full sized mat could accommodate the whole area and I would have space to put weights and move a few things about to work out also.I can't speak to the adhesive on the underside. I didn't have the heart to try. But it pretty much stays in place without too much - uhh rippling or what-have-you. I would say that I want to maybe try to maybe buy a few to use on the walls too. I mean it my be more cost effective to use than the panels. That might be worth a try... I might just do that.

This is nice and thin and sticky enough to stay on place without being crazy sticky I like this better than a plastic mat.

It's what I expect. It's fixed on the hard surface securely. It's soft and help protect my floor from the chair.

Works beautiful. Perfect alternative to those ugly plastic ones. It's down right nifty.
