Strong secure lock. Works well with Keter plastic shed

We recently bought a Keter Stronghold shed for our garden and wanted a lock to keep it secure. The handle requires a long shackle lock and the instructions stated the dimensions, and this seemed to be OK. As others have mentioned, the packaging is... interesting! The lock comes attached to a piece of plastic, and is more or less padlocked to it, and the keys are held in the package by a metal washer. The easiest way I found to open it was to take some scissors or wire cutters to snip the plastic bar off behind the washer to release the keys, the use the key to unlock the padlock. The lock comes with four keys and fits my shed perfectly. It's easy to use and is apparently laminated and weatherproof, but it's early days yet and has only been on our shed for a week or so, but we're happy with it so far.

The padlock seems good enough for now! Sturdy and well-built. I use it to secure my shed, and unfortunately it requires a bit of fumbling to lock and unlock because it *barely* fits: not the vendor's fault (I should have read the measurements), but be aware that the shackle is a bit narrower than that of most padlocks. As others have pointed out, the packaging is antagonistic and whoever designed it wants you to get hurt. You need to use a pair of scissors (energetically) to free the keys, then use the key to unlock the padlock, and finally "extricate" the padlock from its packaging. Truly evil. Try not to harm yourself in the process.

Nice strength,, Nice weight.. Exactly what I was looking for ;-) And as a foot note.. I am appalled at these one star ratings saying they couldn't even open the packaging.. it's a padlock for crying out loud.. break the little seal on the keys.. put a key in the lock and release the lock from the packaging.. it took me all of 30 seconds to do it. Maybe I should have made a video on how to unlock a padlock!

Just what I wanted! The padlock is secure and safe! Heavy duty and with stands all weather conditions! In addition the Keys are great quality (do not bend). When opening packaging snip the keys first...then unlock the padlock to remove from packaging. The padlock is secure in its own packaging and quite difficult to remove if this process is not followed! Perfect for my Keter store it out shed in the back garden! Will defo purchase another if needed in the future.

Tough and sturdy padlock. It keeps our Keter storage box secure. A bit tight at first till we got the hang of it. Great purchase. We like a key as we forget number locks!!

I purchased this padlock to secure my metal garden gate. The lock is heavy, it looks impressive and it appears to be well made. However the shackle is a hexagon shape and it will not fit through the gate latch. If the shackle was round it would probably fit but only just. In my opinion because of the shape of the shackle, there should be a clearance of a least 1cm if used on a metal gate.

Good quality product. After months of everyday using it retains quality.
