I love this thing. I feel so classic and old timey using it! Works perfect as long as you know what you’re doing. Great size to keep on the counter. Remember, the lid doesn’t seal. The bell seals with water!!!

This is the most beautiful and practical countertop accessory! It is heavy and extremely luxurious. It also hold a lot of butter; I fit almost 2 sticks in there easily. I live in extreme heat and my butter stays fresh on my countertop for at least 2 weeks and I change the water every 2-3 days.

I have seen the light! No longer am I a caveman, messily smashing a cold, lifeless stick of butter on my toast and potatoes! Here's what I like: Pros: 1.) Sturdy, cool ceramic design ensures there is a hard, loving shell wrapped around my precious butter wand. 2.) Small cup with room for cool water makes an air tight seal around the butter, making a moat of sorts to defend the butter castle! 3.) Not made in China, so there's no real worry about lead based paint. 4.) WIDE base on top of the bell makes a nice, sturdy stand when extracting the delicious butter. 5.) Bell is large enough to hold one full stick of butter realistically. You could smash a bit more in there but you run the risk of wet butter and a bit of a mess! 6.) Butter last's much longer than expected! I've left my butter in that crock for about two weeks before I finished it (changing the water out every 2 to 3 days) and it was perfectly safe and tasty! Tastes just like day one! Cons: 1.) I just wish it was a LITTLE bit bigger. I have had zero problems with this butter crock! This is a top notch butter crock and if you're tired of using "tub butter" or if you've been eating...margarine...make the investment in not only your health, but saving money over time on butter! I figure that I can either buy a small tub of butter which is around $4.00 around my area, or I can buy an equal amount of stick butter for around $2.00 and over time, the money I save on butter will surpass the amount I've spent on this bell crock. If you've read this far, just buy the crock already, you won't regret this one!

Quality product. Solid materials. The butter dish is easy to use and delivers soft butter as promised. Like all Le Creuset dishes, it is beautiful. The dish is the size advertised— large enough to hold more than 1 stick of butter. Very pleased.

There is a water line in the butter container which you do have to fill. I got lazy one time and emptied the water and refilled the butter and didn't refill the water. . . . Mold.(within a week) Anytime i've had water in there, perfect. This may be obvious, but rather than test it yourself, let my experience save you a stick of butter. You could probably fit 2 full sticks inside of this, but I usually put one. I was worried about water getting all up in my butter but it really isn't an issue. If you're worried that much you can take it out, and tap it on a paper towel so it doesn't drip. It's pretty sturdy ( I wouldn't throw it across the room or drop it...) But normal washing, dinging, and clinking around seems fine (no chips) I wash mine in the dishwasher and haven't had any issues. Great color, good gift, or splurge for yourself.

Only giving 1 star so I can leave a comment. Please please do not purchase anything from the seller. I was not happy with the way the butter tasted after leaving it in the crock. I’ve always left my butter out on the counter and it’s tasted fine, but leaving it in this water for some reason, just didn’t taste good to me. So I sent the product back via UPS with the label that the shipper provided me. Somehow the package got lost never made it back to the seller. I have proof of dropping the package off ups they still will not refund my purchase amount because the package was lost apparently. Just trying to warn people this is a third-party seller that is not living up to Amazon standards. Beware.

Great Crock! 1. always fill with exactly 1/4 cup of water. NO MORE, NO LESS. 2. Change the water once a week without fail. 3. fill with exactly 1 stick of butter. 4. soften butter on counter before putting in Crock. 5. press butter in Crock small amount at a time, being sure to press tightly against sides leaving no air pockets. 6. Tap water is fine in my area. 7. Make sure butter is smooth on top and will not contact the water. If you do all this butter will last a very long time.

Magic (not really, but cool indeed) softened butter anytime you want it. Works perfectly and attractive to boot.

A manteigueira é linda e atende o propósito que é manter a manteiga conservada em temperatura ambiente. O único senão é que passando de 28/30º celsius de temperatura ambiente o produto perde a eficácia de conservação e a manteiga fica tão pastosa que derrete e começa a cair na água. Recomendo muito, mas para utilização em temperatura até a acima mencionada.

Wow certainly was not a disappointment especially as it is not available to buy locally. Have purchased other Le Creuset stoneware on this site and have been impressed with all of my purchases. Even when one arrived damaged they replaced straight away. Thank you
