EMGMF Marty Friedman Guitar Pickup Set, Brushed Black Chrome

Great pickups. Very underated in my opinion. So expressive. The bridge pickup comes close to sounding like the EMG 81. These are passive, and the soderless install was a brease. Note that the three way toggle switch does not come in the kit. I love the sound these make. Great clean tone, and killer with distortion. Highly recommend.

I am a longtime EMG active pickup user and decided to give these a try. I was building 2 telecasters; 1 alder with a layer of walnut with a flame maple top and another one that is swamp ash with cherry rails running down the center. I knew the wood was top quality and would sound good with just about any pickups, but I wanted them to sound exceptional. I tried the Friedman’s, installed them, played them, and instantly loved them. Clear and full highs, meaty tight minds, crunchy creamy lows. Don’t know how else to explain that these are great. Played through Soldano Hot Rod XL, Jet City Custom 22, Marshal JCM 800 2203, Panama Fuego X, and Fender Hot Rod Deluxe IV.

Sounds good and the installation is easy, the most part of the time invest in setting this pickup set was taking off the factory pickups. However, the 4 stars rating is because when holding a note the pickups just go mute same situation in the 1st string.Edit:I am setting the review to 5 stars; I researched about the pick-ups in ultimateguitar.com and other persons had the same situation. The problem was with the ground cable. I bought another one and replace the one that comes with the wiring set, that reduced the feedback noise

Pickups sound great in my PRS

I didn't get a pickup wire for the neck pickup, and it was missing the little ground module. Can I please get my missing parts?
