Home Alone Home Alone is the highly successful and beloved family comedy about a young boy named Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) who is accidentally left behind when his family takes off for a vacation in France over the holiday season. Once he realizes they've left him "home alone," he learns to fend for himself and, eventually has to protect his house against two bumbling burglars (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) who are planning to rob every house in Kevin's suburban Chicago neighborhood. Though the film's slapstick ending may be somewhat violent, Culkin's charming presence helped the film become one of the most successful ever at the time of its release. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi Home Alone 2: Lost in New York John Hughes and Chris Columbus repeat their best-selling formula from the first Home Alone film with this sequel. Once again Kevin McCallister's (Macaulay Culkin) family leave him behind, only now he gets on a flight to New York instead of going with his family to Miami. Kevin manages to hail a cab and is delivered to the doorsteps of the Plaza Hotel, where, using his father's credit card, he rents out a suite and has the time of his life -- although a smarmy hotel clerk (Tim Curry) and bellboy (Rob Schneider) eye him with suspicion. But ingenious Kevin keeps them at bay, using the same tomfoolery he applied to his uncle in the first picture. He takes time out from his consumer debauch to chat with a friendly old toy-store magnate (Eddie Bracken) and pontificate to a homeless Pigeon Lady (Brenda Fricker) on the meaning of Christmas. But then he runs into his old enemies Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern). When he finds out that they plan on robbing the old man's toy store on Christmas Eve, he mans the battle stations once again, complete with electric prods, flames of fire, and sundry blunt instruments. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

TRUE CHRISTMAS MOVIE CLASSICS!!!!!
I am so glad that "Amazing" Amazon, as I call this site, have something that I have always wished for and wanted. Combining Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York was pure genius! I wanted to hurry up and get this movie before they were sold out to the point where there would not be anymore in stock ever again. These movies brought a lot of memories for me. I was in grade school when both movies were out. My mother didn't get a chance to take us to see the first Home Alone movie at a movie theater, but she sure took my younger sister and myself to see the second one at the movies. I remember right before being in the jr. high grades (7th & 8th grade), throughout high school, and after graduating from high school, how the local TV network and cable television would show those movies on the night of both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The third movie was very crappy! Then had the nerve and audacity to make a fourth one! I'm sure the fourth one wasn't good (I didn't see that one), but I saw the third one once, and never saw it again ( and never will either!). That explains why buying the first two Home Alone movies in one DVD set was a huge deal to me. Ain't nothing like the original! In this case, the sequel to the first one was just as successful, pleasant, and enjoyable enough to watch. Like many movies, the first two Home Alone movies can be watched any time of the year, however, watching them movies around the holiday season is the best time to watch them, based on the storyline of the movie. It's what is represents and symbolizes that makes it that much important. These movies are so great that people of all ages watch them with their families and friends! I'm so fortunate that I remember when they first came to the "big screen" and will always treasure the first two Home Alone movies for years to come. Had both movies on VHS and now -in the present- got them on DVD. I also got my sister a copy as well, as a Christmas gift, who I am sure will enjoy this, just as much as I do. Although I have purchased these movies through YouTube (now Google TV), I still had to buy this one DVD set case, because it is a classic that is as touching as it is hilarious. Perfect cast, storyline, and props. Need I say more? All I have to say left is that if you all are fans of these movies, hurry up and get them while they are available. Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York are true Christmas movie classics that will last a lifetime!

Not Good Quality
The quality of the video was not good. I was disappointed. You get what you pay for! It did have subtitles which were a big white font. I will be returning it.

It works as expected
The best part is that I don't have to look for it or pay for it every time I want to watch it. Also, because it's a physical copy I'm not worried that a platform will delete my right to watch it or just not have it available if a platform breaks up. I will keep this DVDs for many years.
