Strong, but stiff
Credit where credit is due, the material that this is made from is extremely robust, however for me this caused some issues:The mobility in the jacket is very limited. If you lift your arms anywhere above shoulder level, because of the stiffness the jacket begins to lift up, unlike most other regular jackets I own.Personally I believe this issue can be fixed by employing the same design solution mid-high end tactical trousers use; insert small patches or strips of an elastic material at points of articulation. Meaning possibly putting some elasticated material somewhere under the arms and potentially around the elbows too.I also personally believe that the jacket has too much material on the back, however it may be functional, I just haven't noticed how. It's very noticeable when looking from the side-on how much of the material sits at the back of the jacket.I'll credit the sizing though...my regular size is extremely large on me, and therefore I actually had to go 1 size down from usual for it to fit me properly. It has good adjustability at points too, like in the waist and the wrists for example. Those can be adjusted with the respective nylon webbing tri-glides and velco systems. The molle system on the front of the jacket is very useful too, good for attaching small molle phone holders, magazine pouches and even flashlight pouches. The arm has a few molle slots too for anything additional which is nice. The Jacket has a multitude of pockets inside and outside the coat. However, I'm not a fan of the outer chest pocket as it sits crinkled and creased most of the time, given no padding or proper stitching to make it look like a feature of the actual coat - instead looking quickly stitched onto the jacket. What's nice is that it is windproof, has two zips and feels like a very secure coat. It's good for keeping warm in the Winter especially, whilst keeping thin enough not to become a wearable greenhouse.Overall it's quite nice and feels a decent quality, but comes across slightly unfinished, so could benefit from some design updates.
