Finally, a food approved by all 6 of my cats!
Great quality wet food that my cats will actually eat! I've been searching for years for a high-quality, affordable wet food, and tried so many brands before finally stumbling upon Dave's. I feed kibble in the morning, and then Dave's for dinner; I use about 3/4 can per night between all 6 cats (including one kitten). I've noticed that it takes less of this brand than others I've tried to make my kitties feel full, I'm guessing due to the higher quality and amount of protein in this recipe. Cats.com breaks down the nutritional value of this Turkey recipe, and gave it an "A" rating! As a bonus, the cans are easy to open pull-tops, and it actually smells good! I've had my cats on this brand and recipe for about 6 months now, and am glad to finally put an end to my search for a food approved by all of my kitties!

Denting, but food is great
I really like this food because it has quality ingredients, always got a great price and it’s one of the few flavors my picky eater enjoys! However, the cans almost always arrive dented, even when I order from Chewy. I reached out to customer service and they did issue a refund, which I appreciated, but it’s something to be aware of when purchasing. I’m not sure if the formula changed, but one batch last year did upset my cats’ stomachs. They’ve been fine since, though. I just really wish the denting issue would get resolved!!

CATS ARE CARNIVORES, TOO MANY VEGGIES HERE
It's been trendy for awhile to proclaim pet food as being "grain-free", but cats, even more so than dogs, are obligate carnivores and frankly have a hard time DIGESTING CARROTS and other veggies. I don't know of any cat if given the choice that would happily chow down on cranberries or zuchinni for that matter. Sweet potatoes, carrots, blueberries cranberries, squash , zucchini, all of these things are in here, yet Dave has the nerve to describe this product as having "no fillers" pffff...huh ? I'm sure it's much less expensive and fills the can to add all those veggies rather than filling it with what cats really want and *need*, namely MEAT, and then has the nerve to charge almost 40 bucks for 12 cans ! And it's not just Dave's, all the "better" brands shove a bunch of trendy , indigestible and, ahem, cost effective vegetables into a product being sold to the carnivore pets we love. Apparently greed is alive and well in the pet food industry as in most of corporate America. Luckily I found Triumph Turkey formula that has ONLY meat and not a load of fibrous vegetables and fruit that can actually clog a cat's digestion, (I've had it happen) so beware ! Peas and Lentils, which are delicious for Humans, are very starchy and incompatible for a cat's digestion. I'm seeing a lot of these supposedly better brands adding these ingredienrts to both their wet and dry cat foods and I can't help but wonder if they secretly dislike cats and that's why ?! Anyhow, I also had the fermenting issue that another reviewer mentioned which no doubt was caused by over-ripe fruit and or vegetables that really shouldn't be in there to begin with. Buyer beware. Cats need MEAT.

Good price but cats are underwhelmed
Great value for the amount compared to other healthy grain free canned options, but my cats just don’t like it. They have had good appetites and generally get excited for meal time, but this food doesn’t get them to run over or even finish what they’re given.

Excellent Cat Food At A Reasonable Price
I did some research into different kinds of cat foods because I wanted to switch from my cheap, meat byproduct wet food to something more wholesome. I stayed with Dave's Pet Food. Among other good choices, it was more affordable and it comes in larger can sizes than the other brands. That was important because I am feeding 2+ cats. I liked the fact that this brand has no recalls for cat food and only one food recall (beef) for dog food. I also prefer a product from a family-owned and family-run business rather than a big corporate manufacturer. About the food: The first 5 ingredients of the Chicken dinner are real meat (and broth) and no grains. The meat is pâté-style; it looks appetizing and smells indeed like poultry. No strong or offensive odor like the cheap stuff. After 7 weeks I can see the difference. The coats of both cats are soft and shiny and they appear more muscular and fit, despite being indoor cats. Even their poop is better and no longer has the overwhelming odor. Most of all, both cats love the taste and lick every single morsel out of their bowls. I might try the other meats beside turkey, just to give the felines some variety. I can highly recommend this cat food
