Good cheap shorts - comparison to Nike in this review.
First, these shorts are decent for the price. If you are price conscious and need workout shorts, just get these.I have a few pairs of Nike 7" running shorts so I'll compare the Baleaf to the Nike ones.- The Blaeaf ones have really short drawstrings compared to Nike so they are harder to tie and more susceptible to getting sucked inside the short.- The Baleaf ones hang kind of "parachutey" from the waist (puffy up front). The nike shorts hang nicer- Both shorts are comparable for material and stretch- The Nike shorts cost 2 or 3 times as much. This isn't to say the Nike 7" shorts are perfect. They have their own drawstring issues. They have a thin drawstring that once tied tight is a knot of doom that can't be undone. The baleaf drawstrings are too short, but they are a better thickness.Anyway, both Nike and Beleaf are nice. Nike wins more style / appearance points (mostly for how they hang from the waist) but for functionality and usage they are comparable.

Excellent quality, however longer shorts than I expected. 18" shorts from top to bottom.
I expected these shorts to be similar to the running shorts I have that are shorter, from the photos I will post, those shorts are 14" from top of band to bottom of short. These Baleaf shorts are 18", which is a lot more fabric. I didn't see those product details listed, so I didn't realize the length. For those of us that like running in shorter running shorts, these shorts are not what you are looking for.The quality of the shorts felt and seemed high quality fabric and construction. I asked Baleaf if they could start posting in their description the overall total length to give everyone a better understanding of the actual length. The reason I changed my review is because the size was too long is my preference, has nothing to do with the quality of the shorts, which look exceptional.

Excellent shorts - lightweight and very comfortable
I love these workout shorts! I bought two pairs, and liked them so much that I bought a third pair. I'm a 34 waist, and the size Medium fits perfectly. The material is very lightweight and quick-drying, and the interior liner provides just the right amount of support. I was initially concerned that the inseam would be too long (I'm a runner, and tend to like slightly shorter inseams to allow freedom of movement), but the material is so lightweight that I barely notice it. Also, my wife says that these look a lot better than some of my shorter-inseam running shorts. The back pocket is not quite big enough to comfortably carry my phone (Galaxy S4), but it works great for carrying keys, some cash, or some energy bar pouches.I just wish they would make these in more colors. I've got one in each color, and I would probably buy a couple more if they had more colors.PS> I paid full price for them. I did not receive them for free or get a discount.

I saw that there were really good reviews so I bought them
I bought these shorts looking for some running shorts that has a back pocket that would fit my Iphone 6 in while running. I saw that there were really good reviews so I bought them. I have only run a couple of times, however, I love these shorts so far. The back pocket fits the phone perfect. I hardly notice I have my phone there while running. I ran 10 miles with these shorts and they felt great! I like the overall feel to the shorts. They are light weight and the inner lining is adequate. I have worn these shorts with underwear and without and found it comfortable both ways. I like the length also. I am a runner, but not a fan of the short shorts so these have a good happy median. I will likely buy another pair and would recommend these to everyone.

No Chub Rub for this female Clydesdale
I am a larger "Clydesdale" female runner. I despise most women's shorts because they are too short and my thighs are too chubby. Chaffing is a very real problem. I generally buy men's shorts because they are longer length. I wear size 14 women, waist is 32 in and I bought the XXL. I don't like my waistbands too constricting. I am very pleased with these shorts. They are lightweight, which is great for hot, humid Nebraska summers. They are long enough so I don't get the "chub-rub". And the pocket on the back is awesome. I carry my Samsung S6 when I run and the pocket works great. My phone fits and doesn't bounce around too much. The two side slash pockets are handy as well, although I generally don't carry anything else when I run. I highly recommend these shorts.

basketball shorts - not running shorts
The picture is deceptive. The inseam measures 7" but the distance from the waistband to the start of the inseam is too long and has the "baggy" fit manufacturers have switched to. The waist is smaller than the description/reviews lead you to believe. I bought Large, my normal size, and they were snug. Bought these for running but really they are cut more like a basketball short. Returning them.

I love these shorts
I love these shorts, they sit just above my knees, and I am 5'10" with average length legs. I'm used to running shorts being abnoxiously short and rather uncomfortable but I loved these. They have a pocket in the back which is just big enough to put my Samsung Galaxy phone and more than big enough for a pair of keys or other important items while out on your longer runs.

These shorts have a strange cut - excess material in the front under the wasteband down to the top of the legs makes them look puffy in front.

Nice having a back pocket but it's a little deep.
I wanted some running shorts that had a pocket in the back to hold keys like my karrimor ones. These are not as comfortable but not by much and there is something that keeps catching my leg which is noticeable at first however, once I get going I can no longer feel it.They fit as I expected around the waist but they are slightly longer than I expected but only a little. The only reason I dropped a star is the pocket at the back is a little deep. Anything you put in there will sit a bit too far down which can be slightly uncomfortable. I wanted something a bit higher not lower down my bottom.

Tiny pocket that can’t fit anything - otherwise superb
Fantastic value and nearly as good as the equivalent Nikes. Only negative - as another review mentioned - is the back pocket can’t fit anything. It’s tiny. I bought the medium size but I can’t imagine it would be much bigger on the larger sizes.I use a Flip Belt so it’s not a problem for me but something to be aware of.On the whole though, really marvellous value.

Misleading picture
I selected the 01-black version of the product (the second model from the left), which shows a short cut of the shorts ending about 10-15 centrimetres above the knees.Instead, I received the long cut, which also fits more like an XL than an L, being too large on the back.

These shorts fit well and are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Bought these as I need to wear shorts when attending the chiropractor. These fit perfectly, are very comfy and lightweight. Exactly what I wanted.

Excellent.
Got these shorts to replace my obstacle racing ones very light weight and no Problems with them at all at the event. Only problem was the length for the size I needed because I have short legs so size down might be better in the case..
