Not too shabby
Periodically I (fine, straight hair) go back to powder dry shampoos. The sprays are great, because convenience, but honestly I feel like I'm always at the end of a can at the most inopportune time. The powders come in handy then, because they last FOREVER. I like this powder. I wash my hair every 5 or 6 days (it took me a few years to get to this point. Just have a baby: you'd be surprised at how easy it will be to train your hair to go longer between washes when you don't have the time/energy to wash it anyway). I usually sprinkle this in on day 1, to nip any oil in the bud, and then again around day 3/4 and I don't walk around like a greaseball. My tween likes it too. She thinks it smells nice and she really likes how it saves her the chore of washing her hair as often as she would have to otherwise.

Recommended by stylist - love it
First, I don't do well with spray in dry shampoos. They make my scalp itch terribly and my hair feels super stiff afterwards. My stylist suggested I either look for a mousse style dry shampoo or a powder I can sprinkle on myself. I use this on the second day in order to lose the greasy scalp look. I usually part my hair, sprinkle a bit in, rub, and then take a shower with my hair covered. By the time my shower is done this dry shampoo has absorbed all the oils and it's ready to style.I have super thick hair so I'm not looking for volume. I like how I can control the amount better than a spray can. Doesn't make my scalp itch at all. I CAN use this for a 3rd day, but it's kinda pushing it. Since I have shorter hair now, not so much, but when my hair was longer I definitely could.Best part is it washes out beautifully and doesn't take a lot to clean my hair when I do wash it.

Works well, miss the smell of the old formula.
Loved the old formula for the fragrance on top of the effectiveness. I still like this one, works better than every other dry shampoo I’ve used and the new bottle is nice making it easy to not over pour and waste product but I wish it still had the rose fragrance.

Not as good as the sprays I've tried
I use this on my elderly neighbor's hair and she has very fine hair, so this powder is different because it seems to sometimes be more "clumpy" (almost grainy) and isn't as nice of a fragrance that I'm used to with her spray. I have to shake it out more onto my hand and rub it in, so I actually feel the product on my fingers. She doesn't care for the "cold" spray on her hair, but the spray is much finer and seems to cling to the hair better making her hair comb out nicer/cleaner.

LOVE the smell! Excellent dry shampoo! Very small container...
Love this Dry Shampoo! Smells amazing & fresh, degreases, AND helps blend dark roots for bleach blondes! I’m a deep copper natural red with thick long platinum hair, I use a foundation brush w/ this dry shampoo and apply directly to roots to help blend in my outgrowth between bleaching. I’m not a fan of the container at all... think cardboard salt shaker (size AND delivery system/s). The lid rotates so half has several holes, then the other half can be punctured for a “massive” pour mode. Very difficult to puncture precisely, so it’s not travel friendly as the lid doesn’t cover the entirety of either side so the product leaks.Aside from packaging - love love love the product & the scent!

I’ve been in LOVE with this dry shampoo for years!! …and then the packaging changed, and it’s awful. I’m all for recycled and recyclable packaging, but this over-engineered dispenser is absurd. Not only is it a pain and inefficient to pump, pump, pump, pump, pump (while forming a cloud of powder in the air), but the volume is a fraction of what it used to be and now for about double the cost?! Terrible decision. I love your product, but not enough for all of these trade offs. Bring back the perfect simplicity of the old (already recyclable) product packaging, and I would be willing to pay the higher price tag for the quality of your product alone. Stop making customers fund your excessive design choices that are clearly rooted in brand insecurity.

Packaging doesn't work... Love the product inside tho
I've used Captain Blankenship Dry Shampoo for several years (back when it was in the shaker bottle). I know that wasn't always the most convenient way of dispersing but this new pump bottle doesn't work 80% of the time. I think the powder clogs the pump action and eventually I have to unscrew the top and shake it onto my head from the top pump piece. Seriously sad because i do appreciate this product.Product = 4/5 startsPACKAGING = ZERO. yes ZERO.

The ONLY Dry Shampoo I'll Buy
I have thin hair that can't make it to the second day after a wash without getting gross. I apply this stuff with a big makeup brush by adding a small amount to it and then patting it at my roots the night after I shower. You've got to really get into every layer of your hair, especially the under roots at the base of your head. After letting it absorb the oils overnight, I'm ready for a new day with normal, great-smelling hair! No more aerosols, gritty feeling, or awful smells - Captain Blankenship does it right.
