Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter 4 Pro

The Xiaomi Mi Scooter Pro 4 is an awesome scooter. I've had the original M365 scooter which I was upgrading from. Things I really like about this scooter:Plus:- Great range, can easily go 29-30 miles on one charge- Speed can reach roughly 18.5 mph- Powerful motor to pull you up steeper hills in Chicago area- Charger connector is magnetic like a Macbook Air which makes plugging in a breeze compared to my M365- Wider board allows you to have both legs comfortably on the scooter.- Bright headlight and taillight make night driving safer- Larger 10' air filled tires make the ride very smooth even in bad Chicago streetsCons:- Little heavy when you need to fold and lift around.- Charging can take over 6 hours, would be nice if it was 3-4 hours

30km/hrs is sooooo good to ride

I recently purchased the electric scooter listed on Amazon.ca. Unfortunately, my experience with this scooter has been far from satisfactory. Despite the promising specifications and features advertised, I encountered several issues that make it difficult for me to recommend this product.First and foremost, one of the most significant discrepancies I noticed was the scooter's top speed. The advertised speed of 15.5 mph (25 km/h) was a key factor in my decision to purchase this scooter. However, upon testing, I found that the actual top speed was significantly lower, reaching only 12 mph (19 km/h) on flat and even surfaces. This notable difference was disappointing, especially for riders looking for a faster and more exhilarating experience.Moreover, the scooter exhibited serious balance and grip issues on smooth surfaces. Even on relatively even terrain(pavements), I struggled to maintain stability while riding. It felt as if the scooter was sliding instead of rolling smoothly on the wheels. This lack of stability is frustrating and raises safety concerns, particularly when maneuvering at higher speeds or encountering unexpected obstacles.Adding to the list of problems, the scooter is noticeably heavier than advertised(19 Kg). Ironically the packing mentions the weight to be 22 Kg! I am refraining from actually getting it weighed to avoid further frustrations. The additional weight makes it inconvenient and cumbersome to transport, reducing the overall portability and ease of use that should come with an electric scooter. This discrepancy is misleading to potential buyers who are seeking a lightweight and portable option for their commuting needs. The misinformation does not stop here as there is a discrepancy in the maximum payload as well! While the scooter packaging mentions it to be 120 kg, the information booklet inside limits it to 100 kg!Another disappointing aspect of this scooter is its poor ergonomics. The standing surface is uncomfortably hard, lacking the necessary cushioning to provide a comfortable riding experience. Prolonged rides on this scooter quickly become uncomfortable, potentially causing fatigue and discomfort to riders. A more ergonomic design would have greatly enhanced the scooter's usability and rider comfort.Furthermore, riding uphill with this scooter is a considerable challenge. The motor struggles to provide sufficient power and torque to conquer even moderate inclines, which severely limits the scooter's usability in uphill situations. If you live in a location with significant elevation changes, this scooter may not be suitable for your needs.In conclusion, the electric scooter in question does not match its advertised promises. The discrepancy in top speed, balance, and grip issues on smooth surfaces, product weight, and weight limit are significant drawbacks that impact the overall performance and usability of the scooter.
