Did exactly what I wanted. Nice and plain so doesn’t stand out too much. Pretty sturdy and well made. If you make the cutout too small you’ll still be able to wedge this in but the door will be difficult to pop open so worth bearing that in mind.

Five stars given because of cost and product. This exactly fulfilled my needs. Yes it could be manufactured to a higher standard but costs would increase. Yes it is basic but it does what is needed. I fitted mine into a plywood panel. I took the unit reversed it and marked around the ply and then cut around it with a jig saw. The fit was a little to tight so I used a saw to tidy up the corners. Dropped it into the hole and used small self tappers with washers to secure it using prebored holes in the frame. Just a pity the holes were not smaller. This enabled removal in the future if necessary. Once fitted the door opened and closed. It was tight to close as it relies on a nodule top and bottom to secure it. No doubt through time it will wear and become looser. There is a small marker on the door and I bored a hole there then used a small nob which I had and fitted it with a small nut and bolt to the door. Just perfect for opening and closing the door. Without this you will have problems opening the door as it is a very tight fit.One thing to bear in mind the door does not have a corner hinge and because of this the opening is slightly reduced.At about £6 this is a steal and great value.

I installed this access panel yesterday when re-fitting a concealed toilet in order to gain access to the rodding post inside the boxing-in. The plastic used is stiff, which given the large size of the door is impressive; I've had similar products that flexed significantly when open. The surface is too shiny to be easily painted, so bear this in mind if you'replanning to blend the access panel into a coloured wall.There have been many reviews mentioning that the door lacks a find hole or knob. Perhaps the design has been changed recently, as the item I received had a ~25mm semicircular cut out as a finger pull.

Bought this to create an access "cupboard" for out water stopcock. Did the job well and we can paint it to match walls.

Replaced a full height cupboard door which was hiding water stop cock and double plug.Unit was pretty flimsy but didn't expect too much for £5! Would be better if there was a small finger hole or a small handle to assist in the opening.

Easy to fit - comes in a variety of sizes and seems nicely made.

Does what it's meant to do, easy to install. Works fine.

Rim round edge could be a little bit deeper but that's a minor thing
