The Helping Hand Company Classic Reacher/Grabber - Standard (26"/65cm)

When an elderly neighbour (84) had a fall & broke her hip - requiring a replacement she also broke the bone going into the hip.I recommended - The Helping Hand Classic grabbing gadget.I purchased it on her behalf.It is incredibly well made!! This helping hand has been useful for various tasks after I had a hip replacement. It’s great for picking up bits and pieces even very small things e.g a cotton bud dropped on the floor. I use it to help get myself dressed and for reaching things. It is not great for picking up heavier things, it is not strong enough.

The general build is nice and simple and it operates smoothly. The magnet on the end is a good idea but is not very strong. It does not feel very robust, but for clearing the Grandchildren’s toys of the unreachable floor!

Could not live without these we have many of them all around the house and garden. Great that they do them in different lengths and with different ends. Ideal if you have a bad back/hips or stiffness. Pick up anything easily and swiftly. We use the C shape end ones in garden to pick up pots or plugs and plant. Great for picking up small weeds and leaves. You can sit on a stool and reach the back of a border. Dont buy cheaper version these are the best and worth every penny.

I should have bought one years ago and when my back problem came back it was invaluable. WARNING though I am short and the standard is fine for me but I would recommend to anyone else to purchase the longer version.

Works well. Only downside is that the grip could be stronger. Have bought more so we can have them in more than one room in the house. Get the longer one!

i am basically chairbound and find the grabber very usefulfor,picking up things droppedtothe floor I have purchased two one for downstairs and one for bedroom use a good product reasonably priced

VERY useful grippers - using them more and more.Cautious about lifting very heavy objects - but otherwise good
